UN INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF CO-OPERATIVES - 2012

The debate on the UN 2012 International Year of Co-operatives called for a European region
working group to be established to liaise with and monitor the activities in member countries that are
being planned to promote and highlight the ‘sustainable business model’ that co-operative enterprises
offer individuals and communities.

Members were invited to send their ideas for a ‘logo’ and ‘slogan’ for the year and to communicate the
national activities once they are agreed at the local/national levels.
