Looking back at a successful retreat

Being Together

Our first retreat without the physical presenceof our inspirational teacher Sri Vasudeva wasorganized at the Sun House from May 27 -30.Its theme: Being Together/Together in Being.Our vision for the retreat was to explorepersonal qualities of leadership and wisdom aswell as those of the group. Also the promotionof deep and open sharing and the experienceof ‘Togetherness in Being’ in all our power andlove.We had between 40 and 60 participants daily who created a sparkling energy of love, interest and connection. This co-creation was a huge success.Although Vasudeva was not physically present, his whole being participated fully inthe retreat. His energy flowed through the hearts of all participants. His meditationworkshop, given last year in Trinidad, was seen on Dvd. And he was virtually withus via a Skype connection. We could speak with him, ask a question, share anexperience and see his expressions as he spoke to us via a large screen. We havebeen given a fantastic means of bridging the physical distance between us usingthese modern techniques. Vasudeva’s advice to us was to organize this energy exchange every two weeks.This forms both a challenge and an inspiration for us. What a support, to be able tore-charge ourselves with this powerful energy on a regular basis. What anincredible power that could unleash in our lives!Karin Groet suggested the following: It would be meeting this challenge if we couldorganize a chain of small groups of people who were at the retreat, also includingothers who want to be involved, to meet in groups every two weeks using the sameframework as in the past retreat. We can pass on the intention like a “relay baton”.Allow yourself to be inspired and touched and step into the flow of energy thataccompanies this Blue Star Newsletter! Whispered in many ears at the retreat wasthe idea that these small meetings may be the initiation of a Dutch ashram. Couldthis be an intention that is manifesting from the Source?The Blue Star Board wishes you much pleasure in reading about our retreatexperiences.

For the first time inmany years, BlueStar Holland had a three day retreat without the physical presence of Vasudeva. Thetheme was: “Being Together” (in Dutch,the two words arereversed – “Together Being” and the expressioncan be understood in two ways, as “togetherness” and as “together inbeing”). It was wonderful, a special experience of transformation and unity with moments of personal growthand growth for us as a group, too.

Milestone

I experienced this weekend as a milestone or aturning point for Blue Star Holland: we havenever stood so close together and experiencedso much unity. The huge openness during theentire ‘sacred conversation’ in which people feltfree [safe] to share very personal feelings can besited as an example of the special energy thatwas created.And everything we did was done with ease andfun! It was beautiful to see how everyone playedtheir part in this co-creation, in so manydifferent ways.This is the beginning of the co-creation of a newworld full of harmony in every dimension! Wecan do it! Let’s go for it together.Vasudeva, thank you so much for providing usthis opportunity and that you led and supportedus so that we could manifest this retreat in thisway. And to everyone who participated: thanksfor your Being Together/Together in Being!

In one word: FANTASTIC...

... In all aspects. We enjoyed, learned,experienced, shared, hugged (of course!),expanded energy, felt, gave and receivedfantastic and educative workshops, healed andwere healed, ate delicious meals, (wonderfulNelly and Bram), felt the continuing presence of Vasudeva and… I’m sure I am forgettingsomething… But I also don’t have to do thisalone. Nobody had to do anything alone in thesepast few days because everyone was there foreach other, new or old, known or a unknown, alarge and warm spiritual bath.What am I talking about? Our own Blue StarHolland Retreat from the 27th to the 30th of May. With great thanks to the organizing groupand all the other people who played a part inmaking this retreat an energetic, loving andpowerful big party. Also thanks to Shankari andHimani and, of course not to be forgotten, allthe participants. Did it take an effort to enjoyoneself or to experience? Not at all! Whathappened [just] happened. It was accepted andit was good.I heard superlatives like: “There is an evenstronger energy than when the Guru is present.”Also, “What great potential in power, knowledge,love and wisdom in our own Blue Star House.”Or, even better, “our Blue Star home.” And: “Whyhaven’t we done this before?”

In short, it was more than worth it. And there are newinitiatives for future retreats with our own Blue Star familyunder way. And we hope that everyone will be able to bethere again. If not in body, then certainly in spirit. It’s allOK.With many thanks to our great Teacher,In love and support,

Blue Star Holland alive and kicking

I felt in this retreat that Blue Star Holland is alive andkicking even if we are also very busy on our own turf withmany other activities. The Blue Star feeling is simply a partof us and that is what we understood at Blue Star'sconception. Sri Vasudeva binds us like a Patriarch, so wereally are like a family. I want to keep both feet on theground and so perhaps a sober comment from this Dutchclay is warranted. We admit that we can form a wonderfulteam, that there is a lot of talent available and that we cancreate fabulously. These are things no one would dispute.But we also quite easily separate and become busilyinvolved with our own things, just as it happens in manyfamilies. You see each other, love it and make promises tocall more often but it just doesn’t happen. And still, thefact of the matter is, the connection is there!

Vasudeva spoke to us a few days ago via Skype: “What areyou going to do in two weeks time? And next month? Don’tallow this feeling to ebb away. Go for continuity” he said.The Blue Star shines in me like a warm blue light that I takewith me wherever I go. And that light is shining strong andbright as a result of this retreat. Thank you, one and all, forthis Being Together in Love!

Growth and a warm bath

Before the retreat I realized that I was disappointed that Icould only be there on Sunday. Even though it was only oneday, I held an intention of abundance within. And that iswhat I experienced. The other days I wasn’t therephysically, but Thursday I was very conscious of everythinggoing on and from the evening on, I felt like I was in theretreat in Loenen too. I really liked what happened in thepreparations for the retreat. As Bhaktan (Eric) said, theorganizing committee were really looking forward to theretreat. And I was also looking forward to the chakrasinging meditation that I would lead.
