YAHYA (John The Baptist) in Islam

The Position of His Holiness YAHYA(John) in Islam is so high that ALLAH himself has chosen to send His Peace on the Day that

he was born the Day that he

Died and the Day that He will be raised to Life Again in the following Verse:

Ch AL-Maryam (Mary)

Quran [19:15] So Peace on him(Yahya-John) the day he was born, the day that he dies, and the day that he will be raised up to life

(again)!

Quran [3:39] While he was standing in prayer in the chamber, the angels called unto him: “(Allah) doth give thee glad tidings of

YAHYA(John The Baptist), witnessing the truth of a Word from Allah, and (be besides) noble, chaste, and a prophet,- of the

(goodly) company of the righteous.”

Quran [6:85] And Zakariya and John, and Jesus and Elias: all in the ranks of the righteous

Ch Al-Maryam (Mary)

Quran [19:7] (His prayer was answered): “O Zakariya! We give thee good news of a son: His name shall be YAHYA: on none by

that name have We conferred distinction before.”

19:12 (To his son came the command): “O YAHYA(John)! take hold of the Book with might”: and We gave him Wisdom even as a

youth,

Ch A l-Anbiya (The Prophets)

Quran [21:90] So We listened to him: and We granted him YAHYA (John): We cured his wife’s (Barrenness) for him. These

(three) were ever quick in emulation in good works; they used to call on Us with love and reverence, and humble themselves

before Us.
