AP Biology Summer Assignment!!
The following is a guide to summer assignments for AP Biology. You may work ahead or complete them according to pacing below. However, each assignment is due no later than the last date listed in each section. Week of June 1-June 23:
- Log on to holdensapbio.blogspot.com
- Try to register as a contributor, if you have trouble with that, become a follower.
- Follow instructions in the Announcements or Helpful Links on how to register for the online textbook. Then sign up for the online class with code listed in blog.
- Email me at jholden@capital.k12.de.us upon completion of the above 3 steps
Week of June 24-July 6:
- Go to Chapter 3 using the drop down menu in Campbell 7E. Do the four activities (Polarity of Water, Cohesion of Water, Dissociation of Water, and Acids, Bases and pH) in Chapter 3.
- Take the online Activity Quiz for chapter 3 and submit it to the online classroom.
Week of July 7-July 17:
•Go to Campbell7E on the left side bar and choose mp3 audio clips. Listen to the water clip (you can download onto your mp3 or ipod or …) and take the online quiz with it. Submit it to online classroom.
Week of July 18-August 2:
•Go to blog and print out root word guide and activity worksheets. Complete for submission the 2nd day of class and a beginning of year quiz on latin and greek roots. This assignment may require additional root word lists online. It is also a lengthier assignment then the previous one.
Week of August 3-August 20:
- Check the blog for the link to Scientific Method. Do the Cricket lab, get data and results.
- Go to Create a Graph (link in blog) and plot data and print data and graphs.
- Write up lab report according to lab report template in blog. Attach create a graph printouts and submit lab report second day of class. This again is a lengthier assignment and requires printer ink. Plan ahead so that you are not doing this last minute.
