Freak the mighty
Some characters change throughout novels, similarly to the waypeople change throughout the course of their lives. Depending onhow the plot develops, some characters change their emotional ormental points of view. For example, a character may feel negativelyabout their life at the beginning of the novel but as the novelprogresses, they may start to see their existence more positively.Changes are not always mental or emotional though; a character mayactually change physically. In Rodman Philbrick’s novel, Freak theMighty, the characters Maxwell, Kevin, and Loretta Lee experience agreat deal of change.Maxwell Kane, the “mighty” half of freak the mighty changesfrom a shy young man to a courageous person. Gram states “Biggoon like you…and this midget kid… he actually scares you” (10)?Kevin made a lasting impact on Maxwell and it’s true that when freakcame into his life, he began to view himself more positively. As thenovel progresses, Maxwell refers to himself less and less as a“butthead.” While Killer Kane is killing Loretta Lee Maxwell yells “Isaw you do it…I saw you kill my mother” (129). Characters such asMaxwell are capable of making great changes throughout a novel.Kevin, the “freak” half of freak the mighty changes from a bulliedboy to a strong courageous young man. Max states “…I see thiscrippled-up yellow-haired midget kid strutting around…” (7). Kevinbecame stronger and helped Max through his problems. As the novelprogresses Kevin becomes more outgoing and ruthless. At the end of the novel Kevin saves Max from Killer Kane and states “Guess what Igot for Christmas. Guess right your life depends on it” (131).Characters such as Kevin can change mentally and physically, whichhe did.Loretta Lee the skinny lady from the testaments changed from alady who didn’t mean much to a lady who is more accepting of the

this is the book i'm reading in class, i actually got done with it and now i'm writing a 5 paragraph essay and i'm having a hard time so if i can get any feed back on here about a good essay i need to know by MOnday today
