Someone may wonder: At the Lord’s beckoning, what or how much did these twofishermen [Peter and Andrew], who scarcely had anything, leave behind? On thismy beloved, we should attend to one’s intention rather than to one’s wealth. That person has left behind a lot who keeps nothing for himself, who, though he haslittle, gives up everything. We tend to be attached to those things we own, andthose things we scarcely own, we carefully hold on to. Therefore Peter andAndrew left much behind when they left behind covetousness and the very desireto own. That person has left much behind who renounces with the thing owned thevery coveting of that thing.

Please continue to remember Archbishop Basil, who is hospitalized for afew days, in your prayers. He was extremely fatigued, and tests showed this wascaused by a low level of potassium. As he continue to recover, he thanks you for your prayers, and he asks that you keep praying for him and for all the sick of
the Archeparchy. May God grant to Archbishop Basil and to all the sick... many blessed and happy years!

We had a rummage sale at our parish yesterday. Thank you and “many blessed years” go to Tom Whalen, Gene Ford and Ted Janson, for organizing itand giving their time for our parish.

Some of our parishioners would like to be able to get in touch with oneanother. We would like to print out a parish directory, with family name and a phone number. There will be a sheet of paper in the hall, please enter your family name and a phone number that can be shared with other members of the parish. It is the best way to share only information you are comfortable to shareand not disclose personal things from parish files.
