Are You SureYou Are A True Christian?
What a question to be asking the peoplewho are reading this paper? To me the greatesttragedy of life, is to be deceived to believe that Iam a born again believer; going to Heaven whenI die and then to discover on the other side of life that I am eternally and forever lost.Jesus said: that not everyone that professesHim is saved (Matthew 7:21). In this scriptureHe teaches that only those who do His will, whokeep His Word will be saved. The apostle John wrote his first epistle tohelp us know and be confident in our salvation
So let’s us put ourselves to the tests that he
gives to us.First, a true Christian must believe that Je-sus is the Son of God; come in the flesh; died onthe cross; raised the third day from the grave andever lives to save those who come to Godthrough Him. (1 John 5:11-13)Secondly, a true Christian loves others be-
cause the love of God is in him. John say’s if
you say that you are in the light and hate your brother, you are in darkness (1 John 2:9-10 &4:7-8)Thirdly, a true Christian does not live in astate of sin and rebellion. John taught that if you profess that you are a Christian and walk indarkness you are a liar and the truth is not inyou. (1 John 1:6-7) True believers live in fel-lowship with the Father, The Son and the HolySpirit. True believers seek the fellowship andcompanionship of other believers. They do not
live in a state of sin. John write: ―We know that
whosoever is born of God sins not; but he that is begotten of God keeps himself and that wicked
one touches him not‖. (I John 5:18) It is true
that a believer can commit a sin; and they do,from time to time. But this verse is talkingabout living in a state of sin. It is talking aboutlifestyle. When a professing believer does notlive in obedience to the Word of God, does notwalk in communion with God in prayer, doesnot have anything to do with the church andlives in worldliness, it is apparent that he is not atrue child of God. John by inspiration wrote:
Love not the world, neither the things that are inthe world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in theworld, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of theeyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God abides for ever.

17So many people think that because they wereraised in a Christian home, or are religious, made a public profession, were baptized and believe in God, live a moral respectable life thatthey are Heaven bound. Beware!Do you have the witness of the indwellingHoly Spirit in your heart and mind? Can youtruly say that Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life; that you are living in obedience to HisWord? Do the people around you recognize thetestimony of Christ in your life? When you sinare you grieved about it and go to the Lord for
cleansing? ―
There is no condemnation to themwho are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit

A new nurse at a hospital was perplexed
by Dr.Mike Wilson’s behavior.
Off and on throughout her shift Dr.Wilson would run up and down thehallway, yelling, "Tetanus, measles,
flu..............‖"
Very curious, the nurse asked the headnurse, "Why does Dr. Wilson keep doing that?"
"Oh, just ignore him,‖ the head nurse said. ‖He thinks
he calls all the shots around here."
