 Daniel & The Revelation
This pamphlet has been comprised with reason to draw light of the great necessity insearching and studying the prophetic book of the Old Testament, Daniel, and the prophetic book of the New Testament, The Revelation, which were written for our knowledge and understanding. There are many who argue that these books of prophecyare beyond human grasp, that the unlearned cannot discern what is written within, yet the‘chief men’ or pastors can, this may be seen as true, if these persons do not include gift of the Holy Spirit, Who is the Teacher of Truth. And it is also truth, that the booksthemselves were written hundreds of years in the past, by the prophets Daniel and John. Nevertheless, they apply more now, if not ever, in the entire history of the earth. As for this reason they are known as prophetic books, and it is the purpose of the Author toreveal unto those living in these last days the things which were sealed, even from thewriters, earlier on, as what they were inspired to write was not even for their time, butmore so for ours. We have been given the greatest privilege and blessing to have thecomplete Bible opened before us, with nothing hidden, these things are made known to usso that we can know our place in history and be prepared for the things which are tocome. For it is by studying the past, we come into the present time, and from the present,we can look into the future, all found in the two books of Daniel and Revelation. Thoughall books of the Bible have the same cause and effect principle, it is the books of Danieland The Revelation which have been specifically written for the last days. There arethose, who claim to be Christians though do not believe that the prophecies of old relateto our present day, and they will say such things as, these were written only as examples,so that we, today, can learn from their experiences and have a better understanding in howto lead a holy life. But this is not absolute truth. As sufficient evidence contained in boththe Scriptures and Spirit of Prophecy plainly states, history will repeat. All we now haveto do, within ourselves, is to humbly seek this profitable wisdom and once found conformto the will of God. These prophecies comprehend that, which we may learn andunderstand in our own time of earnest study, in which the Spirit of the LORD will teachus. There is not merely, intellectual, yet experimental knowledge to behold once wecooperate with the saving power of God. The promises of God for us are:
When yetherefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place,
(whoso readeth, let him understand:
Matthew 24:15
 , “Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of thewicked shall understand;
but the wise shall understand.”
Daniel 12:10,
“Blessed ishethat readeth,
and they that hear the words of this prophecy
and keep those things whichare written therein: for the timeisat hand.”
Revelation 1:3Prayer;
 Dear Father in Heaven, please bless the reader of this work, as Thou has promised for those who study the prophecies, may they experience the power of the Holy Spirit as they read, and guide their understanding as they learn to acknowledgeThy will for them. Lord help each of us, as we live to obey and worship Thou and Thy Holy Word. Thank You. In Thy name I ask. Amen
The following are a selection of extracts taken from the Spirit of Prophecy, the writings of the prophet of the Lord, Sister Ellen. G.White, encompassed together, with related portions of Scripturementioned, who answers with claritude and simplicity, on issues whichmany have questioned in reference to Daniel and the Revelationprophecies, not only in her time, but also for us:Question 1:Is the book of Daniel sealed and the Revelation a mystery?Answer(s): Daniel and Revelation Have Been Unsealed…In the Revelation all the books of the Bible meet and end. Here is thecomplement of the book of Daniel. One is a prophecy; the other arevelation. The book that was sealed is not the Revelation, but thatportion of the prophecy of Daniel relating to the last days.
The angelcommanded,
"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, evento the time of the end."
Daniel 12:4 {AA 585.1}
 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased
Daniel 12:4.The book that was sealed was not the book of Revelation, but thatportion of the prophecy of Daniel that related to the last days.
. . . Whenthe book was opened, the proclamation was made,
“Time shall be nolonger.”
Revelation 10:6
The book of Daniel is now unsealed, and the revelation made by Christto John is to come to all the inhabitants of the earth
. By the increase of knowledge a people is to be prepared to stand in the latter days.
{CTr 338.4}
This book opens with the words,
"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, whichGod gave unto Him, to show unto His servants things which must shortlycome to pass;
and He sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant  John; who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of JesusChrist, and of all things that he saw.
 Blessed is he that readeth, and theythat hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which arewritten therein
; for the time is at hand."
Revelation 1:3
{18MR 22.4}
The books of Daniel and the Revelation are one. One is a prophecy, theother a revelation; one a book sealed, the other a book opened.
Johnheard the mysteries which the thunders uttered, but he was commanded notto write them. The special light given to John which was expressed in theseven thunders was a delineation of events which would transpire under thefirst and second angels' messages. It was not best for the people to knowthese things, for their faith must necessarily be tested. In the order of God,most wonderful and advanced truths would be proclaimed. The first andsecond angels' messages were to be proclaimed, but no further light was to be revealed before these messages had done their specific work. This isrepresented by the angel standing with one foot on the sea, proclaiming witha most solemn oath that time should be no longer.
{1MR 99.3}
The professed Christian world has had opportunity to obtain light andknowledge, but many close their eyes lest they shall see. Well-educated,intelligent men preach at the Word and round the Word, but they do nottouch its inner meaning
. They do not present truth in its genuinesimplicity. These men, regarding themselves as authority, tell theirhearers that it is not possible to understand either Daniel or theRevelation. Many ministers make no effort to explain the Revelation.They call it an unprofitable book to study. They look upon it as a sealedbook, because it contains the truth in figures and symbols. But the veryname that has been given to it--"Revelation"--is a denial of theirsuppositions. The Revelation is a sealed book, but it is also an openbook, recording marvelous events that are to take place in the last daysof this earth's history. Its teachings are definite, not mystical andunintelligible, and God would have us understand it
