To all people who thinks Christianity is simply a hoax... Why do you waste your time trying to prove something not true, something that you yourself don't believe in? If you really do believe that your god is the real god, then we can't do anything about that. Please spare us the ranting and give us peace. We believe in our God, while you believe in yours. Simple as that. Please do open your mind on the Bible - don't read it just so you could look for things you can spit on us later on. If you open your mind on it, you would see why we are Christians. You don't need to believe in our God, but don't try to diverge our faith. Would you like it if we shouted at you that your god isn't the real god? Of course not. Just to let you know- that's exactly what you're doing to us.

Continued from my last post.... ...find it. I have no way of knowing for sure, but I would think that out of the millions of Americans attending church, only a small percentage will attain salvation in the coming Kingdom of God, which will be established on a new and perfect earth at Jesus's return. As a disciple of Jesus, I strongly oppose the invasion and systematic killing of 650,000 Iraqis known as "Operation Iraqi Freedom". I strongly oppose the colonization of other countries, and I strongly oppose the persecution of Muslims in the effort to fight terrorism. I strongly oppose these things becuase I am a disciple of Jesus. Jesus preached a message of peace, love, and forgiveness. But society, and even Christian Church for the most part, has strayed far from this message. I believe that society must now return to this message, or it will destroy itself.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. First of all, your notion of putting the Bible and the Qu'ran together is an interesting one, but I do not think the two books would agree. I have no problem with someone reading both books, but one can only believe one of them, since they teach different messages, and each teaches a different God. One could not believe both books without contradicting himself. As Jesus said, "no man can serve two masters". Your assertion that Islam is the only Truth is an opinion rather than a proven fact. Every religion believes that their beliefs are the only Truth. Regarding Mary, Mary never claimed to be the "wife of God". The first chapter of the gospel of John tells us that Jesus (translated "Word" from the Greek word 'logos' or "embodied thought" of God) existed in heaven in a spiritual form since the beginning. Through Mary, he came to earth in a human body. Mary was not accused of being pregnant before marriage. She was accused of having sex before marriage, which was a false accusation because she was a virgin. Therefore she committed no crime. You are correct that the word Bible is never used in the Bible, although I don't see why this matters. The Bible is a prophetic book, composed of smaller books written by many different writers over thousands of years. These writers were inspired by God to write that which God wanted written, similar to how, according to Islam, the writings of the Qu'ran were revealed by Muhammed. The original Hebrew and Greek texts of the Bible were perfect, without contradictions and without error. Our modern translations are not perfect, however, they have very few errors, and those errors they do have can be explained by those willing to seek the truth, as I have done in this document. Part of what you have said about the Bible and the modern day Christian Church is true. Many doctrines which are taught in almost all churches are not in the Bible, and were never taught by Jesus. The Trinity, the immortal soul, the rapture, and the belief in an afterlife in heaven or hell are all examples of these false doctrines which have infiltrated Christian teaching. The Christian Church has been led astray, and is in dire need of reform. Christians need to return to the Bible and base their beliefs off the Bible, rather than "traditional" Christian doctrine, which has been skewed by Greco-Roman thought. Regarding the War in Iraq and other current events, you must understand that the United States is not a Christian nation. It is a sinful nation dominated by secular humanism. It is a society of rapidly decaying morals. Half the population attends church, but very few people actually understand the Bible or follow the teachings of Jesus. Jesus said the way to destruction is wide, and many enter into it, but the way to salvation is narrow, and few find it. In answer to pshaw: There are majors and there are minors when reading The Word of God and The Lord Jesus Christ wants us majoring in the majors not majoring in the minors. He refers to this futile habit as gnat straining which The Pharisees or men of religion were very good at and they still are today for, The Pharisees have never gone away - the men of the Christian Religion. As true believers we do not necessarily need the Holy Scriptures in order to believe because The Lord imparts His knowledge to us through The Holy Spirit. See Matthew 16. In Britain during the Dark Ages, dark because the Papists hid The Word of God in Latin, the True Church did not die out just because there was no written word. We forget that the first English Bibles were not available until the late 15th century when Henry VII came to the throne and the first printing presses were invented, but even then English Bibles were very difficult to obtain. It was not until 1611 and the KJV that The Word of God became readily available to all Englishmen. There was no New Testament for the first century churches either. Belief came by hearing of Faith.

Corrections: "All four of them were apostles." Luke was not an apostle. He mentions in the first four versus of his book that this is a collection of accounts. He never traveled with Jesus. "They all recorded the most important events, such as the last supper, the crucifixion of Jesus, and the resurrection of Jesus." Note: Mark never recorded the resurrection of Jesus. That account was added late by someone other than Mark. In the answer to #26, you claim that Luke gives the genealogy through Mary. The versus of Luke clearly state that the chain is composed of fathers and sons. Mary is never mentioned. To claim that this is the genealogy of Mary simply because Hebrew genealogies did not mention women is without any historical support. Matthew's genealogy mentions several women, and his book was intended to be read by Jewish people. This is a glaring, forever unresolved contradition of the Bible. One (or both) genealogies must be wrong. Same goes with your answer for #27, #28, and #29. In #30, the Hewbrew people have a word for "son", so they used it. Do not try to change the meaning of a word so you can maintain your delusion that the Bible is without contradition. Same with #31. In #32, have you considered that Matthew was just bad a counting? In #46, you claim that Matthew rearranges events based on their importance. Appartently, Matthew also changes the event itself, because your answer does not clear up the fact that the two writers are conflicted over whether the fig tree withered instantly or over a period of time. Notice how the apostles' reactions are different in each story. Someone changed their reactions as well. This is a contradiction as well. Beacuse Jesus is making a theological issue out of this story, it is difficult to overlook these errors as trivial. In #61, you claim that the rope that Judas used to hang himself snapped. There is no evidence to support this claim. It is merely convienent for clearing up a contradiction. The two versions of the story are compelling enough that if both were really true, then both writers would know about it and both writers would record the events, thus improving the historical accuracy. It makes more sense to say that than to say "Then the rope snapped," which is a claim for which we have no evidence. Some of your answers are correct. Translation errors mostly. Of course, this brings up a good question: If this really is the word of God, couldn't God prevent little things like translation errors? It turns out that he either (A) can't or (B) doesn't feel that it is important. Since many people argue to this day over little things like translation errors, I think God needs to hire an official copy editor and get to work.

No, but man has polluted The Word of God to create what looks like contradictions, but in reality are not.
