Robust, reliable technology
The wide, profile steel frame, compact tank and the
robust boom technology all contribute to the required
reliability. All the edges are rounded off and all hoses
are neatly routed inside the frame.

The sturdy track following drawbar ensures that the
machine follows in the tracks behind the tractor. The
built-in length adjustment allows the steering geometry
of the tractor to be adapted.

Straight drawbar
The ultra-sturdy straight drawbar is particularly suit-
able for quick transport journeys. In addition, Trail-tron
can be fitted to a straight or hitch drawbar for electro-
hydraulically actuated, automatic, near perfect track

Hitch drawbar
Like the straight drawbar, the hitch drawbar is available
in conjunction with the ring towing eye or ball coupling
(K80) and can be additionally equipped with hydraulic
control or Trail-tron.

Hydraulic steering
Hydraulic steering of the universal, hitch or straight
drawbar enables the operator to correct the direction
of travel of the sprayer by adjusting the drawbar via
a tractor control valve.

All the controls are arranged in a logical, unconfusing
manner on the front left corner, within easy access of
the drivers door. All the working functions can be
quickly intuitively understood thus preventing any
operator errors.

Design & pumps

Quick and safe

Piston diaphragm pumps

The piston diaphragm pumps are particularly reliable,
protected when run dry and are safe for liquid fertiliser.
The multiple-cylinder design of the pumps simultane-
ously ensures even delivery with a high suction power
and smooth operation. The pumps are available with
delivery capacities of 250 l/min (Special) or 370 l/min
(Super). The 370 l/min pump setup is a tandem pump,
where the main pump works together with a separate
agitation pump. The tandem pump is ideal for farms
with high application rates or which use liquid fertiliser.
The suction filter can be easily accessed via the simple
AMAZONE bayonet coupling without the loss of spray
liquid.

Hydraulic agitation intensity

The intensity of the hydraulic agitator can be adjusted
infinitely down to complete shutdown in order to pre-

vent foaming of the crop protection agent or to facilitate
the spraying out of residual quantities.
On AMAZONE sprayers, the flushing stream from
the self-cleaning pressure filter is used for agitating
. The pump equipment of the UG Super is suitable 

for high agitation outputs at low PTO shaft speeds .

Fresh water tank with Vario control for flushing and diluting

Fresh water
The large fresh water tank always carries suf- tank

solve powdered agents and large quantities of urea
through the incorporated rinse ring and, at the same
time, to quickly flush them in with the power injector.
A rotary nozzle ensures that the spraying agent canis-
ters are easily and conveniently cleaned to make full
use of the contents. The closed induction bowl can
be flushed for self-cleaning. The fill level indicator is
always in view.

Two powerful rotating nozzles clean the internal walls
of the tank.
As an option, the boom can be cleaned in the field with
the external wash down kit, where, the spray lance with
10 bar working pressure ensures a good cleaning result.

The AMATRON+ on-board computer enables fully

automatic control of the prescribed spread rate (l/ha).
Rates can be changed in pre-selected % increments.
This modern on-board computer is especially user-
friendly, thanks to its clear, simple and logical oper-
ation and with its extra-large, low-reflection display
it monitors the complete system. The very compact
dimensions of the computer mean that little space is
required in the tractor cab.
By using two flow meters, the application rate is
extremely precisely maintained, particularly at low
spray rates.

One terminal for all AMAZONE machines

With the universal AMATRON+ on-board computer,
many machines can be controlled from the AMAZONE
product range. When using the ZA-M fertiliser spreader
in conjunction with the Comfort electronic pack, the
Limiter boundary spreading device and the hydraulic
shutters can be controlled. Forward-speed or position-
determined application rate control is also possible.
When AMAZONE seed drills are used, the AMATRON+
is responsible for the electronic tramline control. Also
in this case you can change the seed rates in freely
selectable steps. When using the Cirrus trailed seed
drill, the comprehensive electro-hydraulic functions,
such as seed depth or intensity of seedbed prepara-
tion, are also controlled via AMATRON+.

Spray technology
For the spray computers AMATRON+ and AMASPRAY+
the most modern control chest technology is available.
The part-width boom sections are actuated quickly and
drip-free via electric motor valves with pressure relief.
In all situations, the spray rate is controlled directly by
the computer precisely and quickly with this technology
negating the need for an equal pressure system.

Precise and simple documentation

GPS control and sensor systems

The UG sprayers can be controlled from external
GPS terminals in order to vary the spray rate.
One example is site-specific variation of growth
regulator in cereals with the YARA N-sensor.

Documentation with ASD

Automatic field-related documentation (ASD)
gives you the option of automatically exchanging
records and actual values for specific fields based
on arable cropping databases with the AMASPRAY+
and AMATRON+ on-board computers via a Bluetooth
interface. Documentation becomes more precise and
simpler. Many hand-written steps are no longer re-
quired.
ASD now enables documentation with many major
field record database providers in Europe. The ASD
interface is available as an open standard for all device
and software providers. With ASD, AMAZONE is offer-
ing a practical and reasonably priced documentation
solution for all types of farm.

ACURA for tank filling

As an integrated part of BASF-Pocket Software,
the ACURA fill quantity calculator provides the con-
nection between planning in the office and filling the
machine. ACURA uses field record database data for
the planned quantities of crop protection agent and
liquid fertiliser, the selected fields and the size of the
machine to calculate the required fill quantities for the
machine. The number of filling operations required for
the current application is also calculated.

With the air-assisted injector nozzles, crop protection agents
can be applied with very little drift.
They are universally usable in grain, beet, potatoes, etc.
Because of the larger drop application, these nozzles can
also be used in higher wind speeds.
Nozzle protection tubes in the outer area or, if required,
over the entire working width of the boom protect
the nozzles.
AMAZONE offers to growers a wide range
of nozzles made by Agrotop, Lechler and Teejet.

Single and multiple nozzle bodies

Anti-drip nozzle bodies with a Teejet bayonet cap system

are an appropriate solution for frequent nozzle changes due

For particular situations: end and boundary nozzles

Additional nozzles
In order to extend the normal working width, an optional
asymmetrical IS nozzle (made by Lechler) can also be
switched on. This is particularly useful if the distances
between tramlines are not precise enough.

End nozzles
If a one metre buffer zone around the edge of the
field needs to remain unsprayed due to distance
constraints, end nozzle switching can be used.

Boundary nozzles
For precision edge spraying between two sensitive
crops, the boundary nozzles can be used to make
sure the spray pattern is accurately delimited.

Application of liquid fertiliser safe and user-friendly

For large-droplet application of liquid
fertiliser, AMAZONE offers multiple-hole
nozzles.
For the risk-free late top dressing with
liquid fertiliser, a separate drag hose unit
may be supplied. Via the aluminium pro-
files, the sprayer can be retrofitted in a few
steps, stainless steel weights improve the
position of the drag hoses in the crop.
