Rhythm on the River is the City of Longmont's Signature Summer Entertainment Event featuring live music, arts, and food. It began in 1995 as a small celebration for the opening of Roger’s Grove along the St. Vrain Greenway. Roger Jones was an avid outdoors person whose dream was to give the community a park / arboretum to visit in the middle of the city.

Rhythm on the River has been aZero Waste festival since it began in1996. Compost or recycle at the manyZero-Waste stations aroundthe festival.
Food
 
 The best of Longmont’s restaurantswill present their unique menus bothFriday evening and all day Saturday.Food tokens may be purchasedfor 50¢ each. A traditional PrairieBreakfast will be served from 7:00a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday for $3.00cash, no tokens accepted. Coffee isavailable at breakfast for 50¢ a cup.
 
Roger’s River Run
5K walk/run, early bird registration ends July 9, $15 adults,$13 youth/senior. Pick up race packets Friday night atRoger’s Grove Festival Store or Saturday at the BoulderCounty Fairgrounds parking lot from 6-7:00 a.m. Race dayregistration is $20 adults, $18 youth/senior. Limited to 450runners. Race begins on Boston Avenue at 7:30 a.m.

and “riends to be” at the 15th annual Rhythm on the River! Thisevent began as a small celebration along the St.Vrain Greenway.Roger’s Grove was named ater Roger Jones, who was an avid outdoors person whose dream was to give the community a park/ arboretum to visit in the middle o the city. In 1995, the amily donated unds to the city or the purchase o the property adjacent to the Boulder County Fairgrounds. Roger and his wie also had a passion or music and art, hence the name Rhythm on the River.The event theme was created around the environment and the Jones’ passion or thearts. In the beginning, just a ew vendors and only two bands entertained visitors.Since 1995, the event has kept with the theme o educating visitors through music, art and interactive environmental components.
