On the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains, the Nathaniel K. Boswell Ranch reflects the 100-yearevolution of a typical Wyoming livestock ranch. Hay was grown on the bottomland along theLaramie River, while cattle and other livestock grazed on hillsides of sage and grass. Theheadquarters, consisting of a house, barns, bunkhouses, sheds, privies, fences, pens, and corrals, reflects the central operations of the ranch and is also a distinctive collection of late 19th century logconstruction.
