STEP is a Trainee Exchange Programme that enables law students and young lawyers to gain first hand
experience of the substansive and procedural law as well as the culture of another country.

The traineeships are between 2 weeks and 18 months and can take place in any law related area: law firms,
courts, public institutions, universities, banks, in-house legal departments, consulting firms and internatio-
nal organisations.
Each year ELSA offers several traineeship opportunities all over Europe and occasionally in other parts of
the world. Before and during the traineeship, ELSA provides assistance in finding accommodation, apply-
ing for visas, when necessary, and organising social events to involve the trainee in the daily life of the local
community.
In this catalogue, you will find the available traineeship opportunities. For further information about STEP
check http://www.elsa.org/traineeships/howtoapply.html or contact your Local ELSA Group.

INFORMATION ABOUT CORDOBA

Crdoba is a city in Andalusia, southern Spain, and the capital of the province of Crdoba. An Iberian and Roman
city in ancient times, in the Middle Ages it was a capital of an Islamic caliphate and one of the largest cities in the
world. Today a moderately-sized modern city, the old town contains many impressive architectural reminders of
when Qurtuba, the thriving capital of the Caliphate of Crdoba, governed almost all of the Iberian peninsula. It
has been estimated that in the latter half of the tenth century Crdoba, with up to 500,000 inhabitants, was then
the most populated city in Europe and, perhaps, in the world. The city is connected by high speed trains to the
main Spanish cities: Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Mlaga and Zaragoza. More than 20 trains per day connect the
downtown area, in 54 minutes, with Mlaga Airport so cheap travels are one of the main benefits for students.
Cordoba is great place to live and give so many diferent opportunity, you will for sure love it.
