Learning Objectives : 2.4 Understand the characteristics and use the knowledge of factors of whole
numbers.
2.5Understand the characteristics and use the knowledge of multiple of
whole numbers.
Learning Outcomes : At the end of this lesson, the students will be able to:
 Identify prime factors from a list of factors.
 Find prime factor (s) of whole numbers.
 Determine whether a number is a prime factor of another whole number.
 List the multiples of whole numbers.
 Determine whether a number is the multiple of another number.
CCTS : Working out mentally, identifying relationship.
Noble Values : Systematic, concentration.
Teaching Aids : Text Book, work book.
Activities : Teacher recall previous knowledge.
Student list the prime factor and multiple of some numbers.
Teacher gives exercise to student.

 List the multiples of whole numbers.
 Determine whether a number is the multiple of another number.
CCTS : Working out mentally, identifying relationship.
Noble Values : Systematic, concentration.
Teaching Aids : Text Book, work book.
Activities : Relate number sequence to patterns in real-life situations,
Students use the divisibility test of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and their combinations.
e.g. 30 can be divided by 6. Therefore it can be divided by 2 and 3 and vice-versa.
Teacher gives exercise to student.

 Find the common multiples of two or three whole numbers.
 Determine whether a number is the common multiple of two or three given
numbers
CCTS : Working out mentally, identifying relationship.
Noble Values : Systematic, concentration.
Teaching Aids : Text Book, work book.
Activities : Relate number sequence to patterns in real-life situations,
Emphasize that a list of common multiples is also a number sequence.
Use small numbers to develop the concept.
