Replacing the Hopper Snap Disc

Reasons for replacing the hopper snap disc:


ƒ #3 LED indicator light blinks and stove shuts down

Tools needed to change the hopper snap disc:


ƒ Phillips screw driver
ƒ 5/16" hex (Allen) wrench

Checking the Hopper Snap disc:

• Remove the left side panel.


• Remove the two brown wires from the feeder wheel snap disc. (As you are
facing the left side of the stove, the wires are located in the upper right above
the exhaust manifold. (See Figure 1).
• Unplug the two spade terminals and install a jumper wire between the two
wires (an alligator clip or a small piece of wire with ¼" spade terminal ends).
This will bypass the hopper snap disc.
• Start the stove again and check for normal operation (no #3 light blinking).
• If this fixes the problem, continue with replacing the hopper snap disc.

Replacing the Hopper snap disc:


• Unplug the stove.
• Remove the left side panel.
• Undo the two spade terminals on the snap disc. (See Figure 1).
• Remove the screw holding the snap disc. (See Figure 2).
• Install the new snap disc.
• Connect the wires
• Plug the stove back in.
• Check for proper operation.
• Put the side panel back on.
