NTT DOCOMO announced a number of new handsets, amongst them the first

handsets based on Symbian’s S^2 release. Thefirst of these – the F-07B – hit the shops on May21

Symbian^3achievesfunctionallycomplete
On June 16
th
the Release Council ratifiedS^3 as functionally complete. It now movesinto its hardening phase with a focus onshipping devices. The first of these – Nokia’sN8 – was publicly announced in May.

“MYuppy”, a product quality open source fonttailored for mobile devices, has been contributedby Monotype Imaging. The (great looking) fontcontains both Simplified Chinese & Latin charactersets and is now a part of S^3 kits.
