1.1 An Introduction
It is matter of fact that children are thevulnerable segment of any society, therefore, theyrequire special attention not only in theirupbringing in early childhood but they also direneed to have focused attention in their emotionaland socio-educational development in the earlyyears of the life. In the developed societies ofthe world, no doubt that a lot of attention is paidby the stakeholders of the society on the properchild protection and development, but on the otherside, in the under development societies, childrenare not given even due attention neither by thestate governments nor over all the society has adue role for the protection and development of thechildren and their basic rights in their respectivesocial milieus. When we take stock of our society in Pakistan, thestate aswell associetyhasbitterlyfailed toprotecttherights ofchildren.Neitherthe stategovernment has fulfilled its responsibility to give properattention on the socio-educational development ofthe child community nor the society has created anypro child environment where they could haveconducive atmosphere for their career andpersonality boost up.
