The P-factor
The funny reality we often ignore is the fact that everybody wishes to be great,
successful and impactful yet not everyone actually becomes great. Ideas rules the
world people say but ideas not organized may result in fruitless efforts and
energy. More often than not people have expressed their desire to succeed in
thoughts, write ups and words yet they ended up achieving little or nothing. In
some cases potential visionaries even take the most daring step on the way to
success; starting and still end up getting stranded somewhere on the journey to
the desired goals Why? Desires alone are never and can never be sufficient or
efficient in achieving any goal in life, there is need for a constructive sighting and
cognitive arrangement of this desires into action schedules hence the P-factor.
The P-factor is a self orchestrated acronym for planning, a necessary factor in
success. Most frustrated and unaccomplished dreams were due to the poor initial
planning by either the visionaries or the enactors of the vision. Its commonly said
that he who does not plan, plans to fail so what is planning?
Planning is an act of formulating a program for a definite course of action. It is a
conscious attempt to state and organize a set of sequential strategic steps of
achieving a set goal (Julius O Akubo). Planning is important to any organization
that must succeed just as it is important to any individual that must be
productive. Thus it is very necessary to know how to plan with cognitive
understanding of the features of a good plan.

1. Time Bound: Every plan that sidelines time is a plan that will soon become
irrelevant and inapplicable. Time with respect to the past present and future
occurrences must always be considered in drafting out a plan for a desired goal.
You can't for instance desire to purchase a piece of land and expect to get that
piece of land with precision if you have not stated a desired time for that desire to
become a reality. Make your plans with the consciousness of time and you will
always be ahead in your endeavors
2. Objective: Aside from precision in timing a plan must always be objective.
Objective in the sense that, the target of the plan is clearly stated. Once there is
no destination every way becomes a road. So in drafting a valid plan the objective
(i.e. what the plan should achieve) must be clearly stated out.
3. Achievable: A plan that is feasible, objective but not achievable is as good as no
plan. Its ideal that you just don't draw up a plan that's enticing and intriguing, it
must also be feasibly achievable. Your plan must be devoid of ambiguity and
inconsistency. Clarity on how to achieve the set goals must be stated out in
simple terms that can be understood.
4. Considerably Flexible. The economy is always fluctuating and policy are likely to
change not to talk of the unstable environmental conditions so drawing up a rigid
plan is simply a deliberate choice to crash with any economic crisis that may arise.
This is not to say your plan should be loose and easily manipulatable by every dick
and Harry but that some unforeseen circumstances are considered in drawing the
plan.
5. Scalable. A plan that only has a high dimension in terms of implementation may
not be executed and I mean may not. The point is your plan should be such that
you can break into beats from which you can handle step by step per time. Let
your plan not be too big that you would not be able to achieve neither should
your plan be too small to be consequential.
On a general note, in drafting a plan the where, how and when must be
thoroughly considered. The future of a desire is only visible if only the desire has a

potent and feasible plan. As I conclude I would like to give some practical steps to
follow in drafting a plan.
1. Write out your desired goals clearly
2. Conduct a basic research to know
i.How much it will cost to execute the goals if finance is required
ii. How long it will take to achieve the goals (short, medium or long termed)
iii. How many people you will need to achieve the goals if people would be
needed.
iv. What else you would need aside from the already outline needs in i to iii
v. How to get all that has been listed (i.e. I to IV).
3. Tentatively, time the goal begins from the start date to full implantation date.
4. State all necessary guidelines to achieving the goals without ambiguity.
5. Seek for professional assistance when necessary
6. Start at the scheduled time and try to maintain all written guidelines to
achieving your goals.
7. Create room for periodic self appraisal in order to monitor your achievements.
Planning is not just a necessity for excellence, planning is also a precaution against
failure. Plan your day, plan your week, plan your month, plan your year and plan
your life in accordance with the will of God.

ANKARA TWIST
BY KUYET BAMAI
The Ankara style has long been in the mens camp, we have people like Jidenna
making this trend a die for with the way he styles it and his design choice too. In
my opinion however I think its important to choose a fabric type that fits your
color and not something too feminine, look out for designs with vertical or
horizontal lines mostly shapes or animals, its a little bit safe to use a color guide
too, brown, blue, red, yellow, Grey and white are good colors to go for. Well for
me I played safe with just two colors (blue and white)
This was what I wore to the Denim symposium which I will talk about here. I got
pictures of it taken by a few people who really liked the design but had no idea it
was Ankara, but hey its Ankara designed by me ,yes I design too(Im the full
package)
Another thing about styling an Ankara piece is considering the design, is it a long
sleeved shirt? A kaftan? Or, a long top? This was actually a long sleeved kaftan but
I tucked it in, I am weird like that hugh!! Well welcome to the style lane.
Styling this was not much of a struggle, just brown shoes by sebago and my brown
brief bag, I wore a hat too but just decided to take a little hat break. I have plans
to add to my ankara
collection, I have loads of
designs to use already.
Most men dont find the
Ankara fabric as fashion
friendly because its
tagged as a womans
wrapper but bro get on
board with the trend

INVESTMENT: A
FRIEND INDEED
Investment can be define as an asset or item that is purchased with the hope that
it will generate income or will appreciate in the future. From economic view, an
investment is the purchase of goods that are not consumed today but are used in
the future to create wealth. In finance, an investment is a monetary asset
purchased with the idea that the asset will provide income in the future or will be
sold at a higher price for a profit.

Money work for you: One of the primary advantages of investment is that a
prudent investor can have their money work for them to earn more money,
rather than having to earn extra money themselves. This gives them the benefit
of enjoying a higher standard of living for roughly the same amount of work.
Hope of raising future revenue: An investor has the hope of raising future revenue
from investing his or her resources which may include money, time etc. into a
particular investment. With this it creates a room or avenue for a better future
ahead on a compared scale to one who has not committed any resources to
investment.
Better life after retirement: The best decision to be taken by someone who works
for a private organization or for the government is to set aside some of his or her
resources on a good investment, in which he or she can fall back to after
retirement in other to have a good retirement life without depending on
retirement benefit but commit more time to the investment and enjoy the benefit
it brings forth. One of the benefit of investing while still working is that there is
hope of a better life before, during and after retirement.

How to Have
A Forever
Honey Moon
Experience
But, it's apparent for us to understand the three etymologies of the words Honey
Moon.
1. Moon Cycle: It was the period when newly-weds celebrated their nuptials at
a particular cycle of the moon with a honey based alcohol (hence, honey Moon)
aimed at establishing intimacy between the couple.
2. Fleeting Love: This was the period that people had a lot of skepticism about
love and the success of marriages. At that time, honey moon refers to the sweet
period of a new marriage (the honey and the cyclical fleeting nature of the moonit means the sweetness of a new marriage is not a constant.
3. Bridal Tour: It was time to tour to visit friends and family members who could
not make it to their weeding.
Having known how Honey Moon came about and what they meant at those
times, I guess its imperative for you as a person to define what Honey Moon
means to you then we can take it up from there.
Honey Moon is that period when newly-weds have thrilling euphoria and
amazing connectedness for each other, having no barriers nor feeling of
embarrassment in exposing themselves to each other which make them enjoy a

beginning so what happens in the period between the beginning and the end ?
If challenges makes you stop then you lack patience.
See what the Bible says "Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are
compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every
weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience
the race that is set before us,"
My emphasis is strictly on the weight and patience. Look the weight may not be
a sin, it could be depression, it could be discouragement, it could be setbacks, it
could be whatever but all you should do according to this scripture is what?
"Lay aside" and run with Patience. People may not believe you which is ok but it
becomes dangerous for you to give up on your dreams. There is always a rain
after the storm, a day after the night and a meal after the fire don't give up
now. Don't stop believing, keep all faith alive until everyone can say for
themselves what you believe and they have come to see and believe. Don't give
up now!

to be their all and all and whatever they do, they are dependent on men have made
so many of them to have wallowed in unexplainable pain. Women are expected to
stay married irrespective of what they face (Mama Africa). The shame of not
succeeding in marriage and the societal view of what they know not about (really,
does the society need any form of evidence apart from the result and your cry out
before they believe in your pain. Believe me, that there will be the first to criticize
you at the end, like where did she keep herself before it got to this stage). Many
women believe that once a woman is married due to African settings or religious
belief of which Africans embrace like magnet to iron more than the westerners that
even brought this religion that marriage must be a do or die affair have made
plenty women wallow and die in pain because, the mindset of an African lady or
woman is bent on all and all in marriage and in husband. Cause the choice of
getting a divorce and not having the MRS umbrella is more like a taboo in our
society and it goes against the grains of the African society and render the woman
unfit and a disgrace to the African society (my foot).
Coming up with the excuse that I cant live my children alone (why not take the
necessary action and be alive for your children rather than die with time and render
your children motherless or even wanderers).
It is enough and a voice should sound like that of reason to some of the young girls
of my time. Be wary of the type of man you move with, how should a boyfriend be

a type that slaps a girl and you still call it love, thats not love, its called evil if it
has a meaning. Why! Eehn why should a woman be beaten as a sign of love (not
forgetting that there is a type of relationship arrangement that one party have to
receive all the beating for the pleasure of the other, that one na una business but
some persons still fit die for there) those women or young ladies who tend to
remain a victim of domestic violence are people I call people of LSE (Low Self
Esteem, no matter how high and mighty you are). The need for women to view
the issue objectively to acquire or to be a form of self-awareness and a lead to
liberation and self-love. The need to weigh your options and take the necessary
step out of bondage cause if the mode is not changed, one will be stuck and
doomed for life.
My view, until women who experience domestic violence choose to love
themselves and start to feel and know how important they are, and refuse to take
up blame that arent theirs but will be held for their reaction which will have effect
whether for a short or long term, then a great step against domestic violence will
be made (cause I dont think if you really like yourself, you go wan collect all the
beating) and knowing what you really deserve, that which is the BEST cause
Queens are treated with the best, then you will realize the inner peace and you
wont even see a passerby.

Can you imagine! Women are made to endure drunken husbands, womanizers,
children neglecters, wife neglecters, and all sorts of unreasonable characters. Why
then should a woman be meant or expected to endure a wife beater (that is
unreasonable, that should not be part of it, that is basically an abuse and can lead to
early grave).
I stand against domestic violence of any form against women.
I am Aishat Abubakar and I say, any family relationship between a man and a
woman that has gone beyond communication and understanding and derogated
into victim is no longer worth keeping cause every woman is a Queen and even
kings bow for Queens.
Any man or boy who does not understand the value of womanhood should be
asked how he came into the world.
I STAND AGAINST VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN.
