When testing for certain factors within RNA, it has to be made sure that the testing conditions and testing situations are actable. If not, then the RNA test can go dramatically wrong - as RNA is a very unstable part of the human genetic structure.

RNA is complex and a lot smaller than DNA cells and so must be treated with the care and composure that DNA would be treated with but more.

When testing for certain factors withinRNA, it has to be made sure that thetesting conditions and testingsituations are actable. If not, then theRNA test can go dramatically wrong -as RNA is a very unstable part of thehuman genetic structure.RNA is complex and a lot smaller thanDNA cells and so must be treated withthe care and composure that DNAwould be treated with but more.RNA is tested for many differentreasons, but one of the most commonreasons for testing RNA that you mayhave heard about is for the testing of and diagnosis of hepatitis C and HIV.RNA plays a large part in the diagnoses of hepatitis C and HIV - as these diseases can bepassed down to children if the mother has the disease as well. Even though diseases suchas hepatitis C and HIV are not genetically imprinted on our DNA - due to the nature of RNAand its function of placing cells around the body that make up DNA, diseases such ashepatitis C and HIV can be placed around the body by RNA thus, infecting an unborn child. If there are doubts that a child may be born suffering from hepatitis C or HIV, then an RNAtest may be conducted in order to distinguish the next way forward. The way this is done isby RNA isolation from the DNA and the other genetic build up within the body. This is adifficult process and can only be completed by a skilled professional - as this sort of task isdelicate and can go wrong easily due to RNA being such a small part of the living organismsgenetic build up. Compared to DNA, RNA is tiny.
How RNA Isolation Works
A way to do RNA isolation is by using dry ice. This is proven effective as sometimes there areso many cells and other factors surrounding an RNA sample that obtaining it may be moredifficult than first anticipated. Other factors can get in the way of sample RNA isolation. Forinstance, if bone or other cavities are surrounding an RNA sample, then the sample can befrozen in order to remove it successfully without disrupting any of the other cells. After doing RNA isolation, the RNA mustbe kept stabilised. Without stabilising, the actual sources of RNA can actuallybe destroyed and then a test will comeback with irregular and inaccurateresults due to the RNA being disrupted. The RNA isolation and test can be alengthy process and can include manydifferent variations on how to isolatethe RNA. Using dry ice is just one of themost popular ways of isolating RNAwithin a cell, yet this is a timeconsuming and monotonous way of isolating an RNA structure. But since the rise and rise of scientific technology, there are now special methods that areproven to successfully do perform RNA isolation in order to test it and receive accurate andreadable results. This type of testing method is known as Plant RNA Isolation Aid. This helps by removingcompounds which can be problematic when trying to isolate RNA from a source. This can dramatically increase RNA isolation time and may mean that there is more time forthe scientist or whoever is testing the RNA to gain an accurate result from the RNA they aretesting. This is especially important if the test is for something as complex as hepatitis C orHIV. More often than not, when a test is required for one of these life threatening diseases, the result has got to be the right result as a negative or a positive can make or break apersons life, and their family and friends lives too.
