1. What are your reasons for running for office?

I am running for US Congress in Michigan’s 9

District out of concern and respect for the hardworking families of Michigan. Uponreturn from the War on Terror 36 weeks ago, I have observed that numerous jobs have left Oakland County. The government is bigger and spendthrift politicians in Washington have put our childrendeeper into debt. I believe that it’s time to turn things around, to put Washington to work for all Americans. I am tired of politicians

from both sides of the aisle who look first to their own interests and not those of their constituents or of the nation.Moreover, I opposed the government takeover of healthcare, theshameful and corrupt deficit spending, the high taxes, and theconstant assault on our culture and heritage. I believe America’snational security and our freedom depend on military might that issecond to none.I firmly believe that the Declaration of Independence and USConstitution spell out how we should operate our government. Just as I fought for our freedom in the US military, I will fight for what’s right for our future in Washington by working to:1.End wasteful Washington spending, cut taxes to restore prosperity and create jobs.2.Defund, repeal and replace the government takeover of healthcare.3.Reduce the size and scope of the federal government. 4.Protect our homeland and keep America safe fromterrorism.5.Strengthen and support the world’s most powerful military.6.Preserve, protect and defend the United StatesConstitution.7.Protect the rights of individuals and families to pursue life,liberty and happiness without the interference of government.
