Discover Milwaukee - This is an exciting one day trip to Milwaukee for members in grades 5-6.Chicago Daze - Travel by train to Chicago, then use the CTA transportation system to explore this fascinating city.Members visit museums, famous landmarks and “window shop” the Magnificent Mile. This trip is for members in  grades 6-7.Space Camp – Spend 4 days in April at Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama. Members in grades 6-8 from across Wis- consin spend a weekend at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center learning about the U.S. Space Program, ride the simu- lators and work as a team to complete a simulated Space Shuttle mission.Clover Adventure – This overnight challenge experience takes place at a local camp. Members in grades 7-8 meet with a series of challenges that tests their abilities and helps to teach leadership skills..WI 4-H & Youth Conference – This event is for youth from across the state in grades 8-10 and is held on the UW Madison Campus. This event gives 4-H members the opportunity to participate in educational and social activities, gain new ideas and meet new friends.Chicago Nights – This overnight experience to Chicago, held in the summer, is for . Participants meet in the spring to decide what sites to see, where to eat and what theatrical production to attend.Citizenship Washington Focus – “CWF” is a week-long experience at the National 4-H Center near Washington, D.C.for members in grades 10-12. Activities include tours, legislator visits and experiencing the governmental process with 4-H members from throughout the U.S.National Congress & National Conference – These 2 trips are for members in grades 10-12. Nat’l Congress is a 5- day trip to Atlanta Georgia, providing youth a quality educational and cross-cultural experience that exceeds what any state independently provides and Nat’l Conference (State Selection) is held at the National 4-H Center in Chevy Chase, MD. Wisconsin selects 6 members to attend this trip that provides an opportunity for youth/adult partner- ships to make recommendations to expand and improve 4-H and encourage states to include both youth and adults in  planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs.
 
 
News from Milton 4-H
The monthly 4-H meeting was held at NIS on May 10th.Entry forms were due. For our community service we dis-tributed poppies on behalf of the American Legion Auxil-iary at Dave's Ace Hardware, Mobil on Hwy 26, PigglyWiggly, and Kwik Trip on May 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. OnSaturday, May 22nd, we did yard work and planted flow-ers at Rotary Gardens. 4-Hers participated at the county4-H Music and Drama Festival on May 15th.Samantha Emery, Milton 4-H Reporter
Junior Council Meeting
The next 4-H Junior Council meeting will be held on Mon-day, August 23, at 7:00 p.m. in the Courthouse. Theagenda will include election of officers for the 2010-11.Many additional important items of business, including theannual budget, will also be handled. Plan to attend! Therewill not be a July meeting.

Jr. Council Historian Book
Briana Bader, Jr. Council Historian, is lookingfor help from any club leaders or members whohave photos of youth leaders in action leadingmeetings, working on projects or helping withcommunity service. She is in charge of devel-oping the annual Jr. Council Historian Book andwould like to create a club page for each club inthe county. Please contact her at 882-6954.
Senior Council Meeting
The next Senior Council meeting will be held onMonday, August 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the Court-house. There will be no meeting in July. Theagenda for the August meeting will include the2010-11 budget proposal and the election ofofficers for 2010-11. Anyone interested in run-ning for an office should sign up in the CraigCenter Office during the fair or contact theUWEX Office. Nominations will also be takenfrom the floor at the August 23 meeting.Please be sure your club is represented at thisimportant meeting!

The 4-H Leaders Council Budget Committee willbe meeting to develop the proposed budget for2010-11. Budget requests can be submitted byproject committees, activity committees orindividuals.
