Pipe bender Vice

Configuration of Tools (cont.)
 Pipe bender + vices
Function: to bend a G.I. conduit (galvanized)
 How to use:
Make marks on a conduit for required angle of bending
(e.g. 45o, 90o)
Put the conduit through the provided path at the bender
Push the handle downward to ground until you get the
required angle of bending
Configuration of Tools (cont.)
 Bench vices 4”
Configuration of Tools (cont.)
 Bench vices 4”
Function: to grip and hold a object
 How to use:
Open the “vice mouth” by turning the handle
anticlockwise
Put the object between the “lips”
Close the “vice mouth” by turning the handle in
clockwise
Configuration of Tools (cont.)
 Stork & dies
Configuration of Tools (cont.)
 Stock & dies
 Function: to thread a conduit
 How to use:
Open the “dies” part together with “stock” part by
turning the gear
Put a conduit into stock opening
Close the opening to make sure the conduit is grip
enough
Start do dies job by turning the “stock & dies” handle in
clockwise direction
Configuration of Tools (cont.)

* Use a file (kikir

(kikir)) or spanner to scrape off the
sharp--end of the conduit so it will not sharp and
sharp
dangerous
Configuration of Tools (cont.)
 Metal cutter
Configuration of Tools (cont.)
 Metal cutter
Function: to cut a trunking and metal
 How to use:
Make a mark on surface to be cut
Cut the material (trunking) follows the mark carefully

Wear a pair of safety gloves

in doing this job !!!
Configuration of Tools (cont.)

 Cable stripper/cutter
 Function: to stripe/cut a cable/wire
 How to use:
Similar to normal cutter (for cutting)
 (For stripping):
Open the “mouth” of the stripper
Put the cable/wire through the opening
Close the “mouth” and stripe the cable with move it roundly in
closed “mouth” slightly until the PVC insulator was cut
Configuration of Tools (cont.)
 Hand drill
Configuration of Tools (cont.)
 Hand drill
 Function: for screwing-in OR screwing-out
 How to use: (screwing-in)
Put the screw at the drill tip (magnetic) if the screw is
outside the hole
Put it onto the wanted place
Pull the switch (hand-switch) until the screw was
tighten
* Use the opposite direction of direction-switch for
screwing-out
!!! Use hand drill for hard-
hard-drilling only
Configuration of Tools (cont.)
 Hand hacksaws
Configuration of Tools (cont.)
 Hand hacksaws
 Function: to cut a conduit/trunking
 How to use:
 (Similar to normal saws)
 Put a cutting-mark conduit into a vice
Put the blade of the handsaw on the mark
Start cut the conduit by moving with necessary force to
it until find the required result

Hacksaw is a better cutter for conduit than

trunking

 Pipe wrenches
Configuration of Tools (cont.)
 Pipe wrenches
Function: to grip and hold a conduit
 How to use:
Open the “mouth” of the pipe wrenches
Put onto a conduit that to be cut or fixed with vices
Configuration of Tools (cont.)
 Adjustable steel squares (10 cm/4”)
Configuration of Tools (cont.)
 Adjustable steel squares (10 cm/4”)
Function: to make a mark of line on a trunking (e.g.
90o or 45o )
 How to use (90o):
Put it on any 90o equipment/tool to get the 90o
Put the steel square onto a trunking
Make a line by following it’s line using pencil or
Configuration of Tools (cont.)
 PVC tapes
Configuration of Tools (cont.)

 PVC tapes
Function: as a marking for differentiate between
RYBEN cable if the cable used are in same colour
Used also for wiring (cable pulling)
 How to use:
All cable those will be put into similar point/wiring path
are tied together with tape and put them through the
conduit
