(28) Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:(29) For which I also labor, striving according to his working, who works in me mightily.
(7) But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.(8) Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but rubbish, that I may win Christ,(9) And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which isthrough the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:(10) That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;(11) If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.(12) Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if indeed I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.(13) Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting thosethings which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,(14) I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.(15) Let us therefore, as many as would be perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything you beotherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
NATURE OF SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP
The Church has been deceived into seeking leadership light from theworld as though the Word of God has no superior precepts on leadership.Much of modern, mundane leadership techniques is ungodly. Some of themodern best practices are adulterated inferior analogues of ancient biblicalprinciples. God has not left us ignorant of what is pure quality leadership.Sociological
may produce temporalleadership principles that are, far-reaching and pragmatic but Scriptural
offers superior spiritual guidance to leadership that will endureforever. The kingdoms and treasure of this world shall bow to and becomethe Kingdom of God and of His Christ (Rev 11:15; 17:14; 21:24).Leadership for the Church should be spiritual not political or mercantile. By spiritual is meant that it is in accordance with Christ andGod’s Word. It should be
in style and divine in agenda:
servingthe Lord’s saints, to enhance their service to the Lord (Eph 4:11-14).
Thus Spiritual Leadership has a clear temporal
of growth in grace butthere is also the eternal
of glory which determine thenecessary
for Spiritual Leaders (Eph 5:25-27; Col 1:24-29; 1Tim 2:3-4)
The polity of Christ's Kingdom is heavenly and spiritual, "
not of thisworld
" (Joh 18:36) and “
not as the Gentiles who know not God
