Tomorrow is the Fourth of July in the States, Independence Day. Americans will gather in families from all over to celebrate one of the biggest holidays of the year! I see 9/11 as symbol of why we gather our families together to celebrate with fire works and picnics.
A gentle reminder of what it means to be American on Independence Day. Freedom is Priceless!

No One KnewThe morning was crisp for a September day.The breath of fall mingled in God’s little way.Sally buying her coffee like she did every day,Saying hello to friends with an ordinary Good Day!Ordinary people going about their ordinary ways.Laughing and joking, as they begin another work day. Nothing could be more simple,How can anything go wrong on such a beautiful day.(No-one knew the price that would be paid. The loss of life and the consequences made.)I sat in a dentist chair that clear fall day.Gasping with horror, watching silently as the towers fell away.Did someone say a plane . . . or maybe two?Crashing into the Twin Towers, . . . was all they knew.Confusion, and fear had a life of it’s own.“This can’t be real!” I heard in soft moans. My memories are clear, like it was yesterday.Remembering how the towers fell that Sept day.(No-One Knew the price that would be paid. The loss of life and the consequences made.)What was hundreds killed, grew into thousands soon. With survivors digging their way out, the sadness grew. The night that followed that horrible day.Still leaves nightmares of shadows in a unholy way.It will be an area known as Ground Zero to all.Where we began to bury the past,Saying a good-bye, we’ve tried to move on.Six years later, we’re still haunted by the sounds of that day.(No-One Knew the price that would be paid. The loss of life and the consequences made.)Our lives are different then what it was then. We’ve tried to know better, be cautious through the days end.My love ones now have more meaning to my soul.I take nothing for granted. I treasure my life as a whole.Always saying Thank You, when I say my Goodnight.Remembering my ordinary days are a blessing and my right! Never will I forget the hero’s we lost that day,Giving their life so I could have mine today!(No-One Knew the price that would be paid. The loss of life and the consequences made.)
