The meeting of the Mill Creek Special Services Advisory Body was held on Wednesday,June 9, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Village Center offices at 39W250 Herrington Blvd, SuiteR-1, Geneva. Minutes (April 14, 2010)
The minutes of the April 14, 2010 meeting were approved unanimously.

Public Comment
Bill Earle reported that the light at Herrington/Terney is out, as is the light atHerrington/Benton. These lights have been out for a while. Ms. Gatske stated that theelectrician is aware of them and has been working on them, as there seems to be a moreserious issue with these lights. As soon as the ground dries, Ms. Gatske stated that theelectricians will be out to check the feeds.Mr. Earle also reported that the street condition along the alley behind Eldon Drive is inbad shape. Ms. Gatske stated that that particular alley may not have the final layer of asphalt on it yet, but she will check and consult with the roadway contractor.Joelle Tilche stated that at the corner of Armstrong Lane and N. Mill Creek Drive has autility box with a missing lid that needs to be replaced for safety. Ms. Gatske stated thatshe would check on which utility owns it and contact them for repair. The box is locatedin the sidewalk and the open top creates a safety hazard.

Landscaping & Maintenance
Mary Anne Hoye reported that Staff has contracted with a new landscaper, Forever GreenLawns and working with them to establish a schedule. She stated that the annuals wereplanted and are taking nicely.

Wildflowers
Ms. Gatske stated that Tallgrass Restoration has been conducting regular stewardship asscheduled. She stated that she always receives an email when they are going to be in thearea, so if there are any questions, please contact her.

Traffic Detail
Ms. Gatske distributed the traffic schedule for June. She stated that with the warmerweather, she requested that additional attention be made by the pool and along streetssuch as Prairie Clover Drive and Armstrong Lane for safety and to deter speeders.

Financials
Ms. Gatske distributed the financial reports. She stated that the revenues from theproperty taxes will be on the June report. She stated that it was the mid-year report andreflects that less than half the budget has been used. She stated that a few smallerlandscaping improvement projects were being planned, but overall the costs have beenslightly more conservative. She did also state that Ms. Hoye continues to work with theconsultant for the reserve study and that it would give a much better idea of what kind of financial reserve would be necessary for the future.

Other Business
Tom Riordan stated that the HOA for the Village Homes was looking to contractors toseal the seam between the driveway aprons and the alley and is requesting that the SSAconsider sharing the cost. The estimated cost is just over $1200 for all of the VillageHomes. The advantage to the SSA is that it will protect the edges of the alleys fromdamage. A motion was made to share the cost for the alley/apron improvements; motioncarried. Mr. Riordan will contact the SSA when the improvements are scheduled, mostlikely in August.Mark Ruby asked if the SSA was responsible for repairing the ruts along Hughes andHerrington. Ms. Gatske stated that she would pass the information to BlackberryTownship as it is their jurisdiction.Ms. Gatske also stated that a few projects were in the works, including bikepath repairand placement of benches and trash receptacles.
