“Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came toGalilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel’“(Mark 1:14-15).

he theme of Jesus Christ’s message was the good news of theKingdom of God. This is made clear by Matthew,Mark and Luke.Luke records Christ in His own words describing His purpose:“I mustpreach the kingdom of God to the other cities also,
because for this purpose I have been sent”
(Luke 4:43).Mark relates that,at the beginning of His ministry,“Jesus cameto Galilee,preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God”(Mark 1:14).Matthew tells us,“... Jesus began to preach and to say,‘Repent,for the kingdom of heaven is at hand... And Jesus went about allGalilee,teaching in their synagogues,preaching the gospel of thekingdom ...(Matthew 4:17,23).Luke 8:1 confirms that Jesus Christ did exactly what He said Hewould:“Now it came to pass,afterward,that He went through everycity and village,preaching and bringing the glad tidings [the gospel,or good news] of the kingdom of God ...This message of the Kingdom was the heart and core of Christ’s
