INTRODUCTION
We students taking Additional Mathematics are required tocarry out a project work while we are in Form 5.This yearthe Curriculum Development Division, Ministry oEducation has prepared four tasks for us.We are to chooseand complete only ONE task based on our area ointerest.This project can be done in groups or individually,and I gladly choose to do this individually.Upon completionof the Additional Mathematics Project Work,we are to gainvaluable experiences and able to :
Apply and adapt a variety of problem solvingstrategies to solve routine and non-routineproblems
Experience classroom environments which arechallenging, interesting and meaningful andhence improve their thinking skills
 
Experience classroom environments whereknowledge and skills are applied in meaningfulways in solving real-life problems.
Experience classroom environments whereexpressing ones mathematicalthinking,reasoning and communication arehighly encouraged and expected
Experience classroom environments thatstimulates and enhances effective learning.
Acquire effective mathematical communicationthrough oral and writing,and to use thelanguage of mathematics to expressmathematical ideas correctly and precisely
Enhance acquisition of mathematicalknowledge and skills through problem-solvingin ways that increase interest and confidence
Prepare ourselves for the demand of our futureundertakings and in workplace
Realise that mathematics is an important andpowerful tool in solving real-life problems andhence develop positive attitude towardsmathematics
 Train ourselves not only to be independentlearners but also to collaborate, to cooperate,and to share knowledge in an engaging andhealthy environment
