Definition Doppler effect provides the change in frequency of a sound according

to the relative motion between the sound source and the observer. This movement
can be the source, observer or both. We would say that the Doppler frequency is
assumed as a constant source but I heard depends on the speed of the source and
the observer. By measuring the Doppler effect is possible to determine the appro
ach speed or distance of a celestial object with respect to Earth. From the mome
nt that all the galaxies show a red shift of the spectral bands is a departure,
this is interpreted by most astronomers as a test of the theory of Big Bang. The
definition of the effect derived from the name of the Austrian physicist Christ
ian J. Doppler (1803-1853), who was the first to discover and describe the pheno
menon in 1843.

Its importance lies in the fact that they show that the relative change of frequ
