Techniques to improve memory and
The tricks played by memory and that level of dispersion that makes it impossibl
e to focus attention on the work that plays are conditions that are likely to re
strict people in many areas. For this reason it is best to set aside excuses and
analyze problem to determine its cause and put right, for the good memory and c
oncentration play an important role in achieving the success many times have the
ideas or the precise words on the tip of the tongue, however, reach them and ex
press them in a timely manner is a titanic task. Even worse is when you focus on
the work that plays to be assertive and proactive in the academic or work envir
onment is a task almost impossible. In this vein, Carolina Contreras Ventura, cl
inical psychologist Caracas Health Center, explained that in psychological terms
memory and concentration are engaged in cognitive processes that also include a
ttention, language, thought, sensory perception, the hula, the will and affectio
n, both of which evaluates the specialist when he makes a mental examination of
a patient. Delving into the issue, Contreras said that memory is the ability to
store information in the brain in a way that can be used at appropriate times. T
he memory has its points of focus or interest, what to speak of immediate memory
, recent and remote. From the standpoint of the specialist consulted and based o
n this distinction between the qualities of memory, it is the concept of "how ef
fective is the emotional", which explains in simple terms to the extent you are
interested in a case, the memory has a higher binding capacity. However, in term
s of memory disorders are more frequent total amnesia, lacunar amnesia (gaps aro
und an event) and selective amnesia (which may be related to different types of
traumas that block the memory of a specific event ). These types of memory impai
rment may be due to psychological reasons (trauma) or pathologic (due to injury
or trauma).

concentration

The concentration, for its part, is the ability to focus on memory in an area of interest, however, this concept is closely related to attention, that being sel ective allows the individual to focus on the topic of interest or in their respo nsibilities without to disperse the large number of events that can occur around them. Investigating the mind To address the memory and concentration disorders specialist treatments exist to help solve the problem. In such cases, and above all, the specialist evaluates the patient to rule out many diseases in the brain , certain degrees of autism, visual or auditory. Once you throw out the conditio ns, the psychologist makes a story for children and youth to discover every deta il of the person's family background, history and all pre-and postnatal developm ent that may have influenced the success of the skills of the individual's mind . Finally, we evaluate the behavior of the person in all aspects possible, becau se only thus can detect and respond to psychological problems. Contreras explain ed, one theory is in vogue in the treatment of these psychological disorders, im paired memory and concentration, is called Attention Deficit Disorder and Hypera ctivity, as efficiently integrates memory, concentration and learning. Moreover, according to this theory, the problem has a biological substrate (as a part of the brain lacks a neurotransmitter), and because of that person is treated with certain drugs to which responds effectively.

Addressing the problem from another point of view, but equally valid, Beatriz Me nardo explained that the Institute taught a course called Menluz Intellectual me thodology that seeks to improve the contact that the person provides the informa tion, for

techniques taught to process information in a meaningful way. This course is div ided into four modules: speed reading, memory, study methods, focus and audience , public speaking, and finally professional writing, which can be taken separate ly. In the case of the module called "memory, study methods, focus and audience, " we learn that while the memory is selective, to develop the first thing to do is stimulate the imagination, because the techniques are based incentives memory

the ability of partnerships fostered by the imagination. To achieve this are im plemented varied exercises which allow the mind to serve people and not vice ver sa. This part of the course is fun for others, since it recovers all what has be en lost imagination and "play" with the mind to achieve certain objectives. Afte r this step is the development of skills, for example, memorize 20 words in two minutes, words that come with numbers, numbers alone, remember the names of peop le, their profession and telephone number, among other things. In this way wakes up the brain from lethargy and introducing a simple dynamic partnerships that a llow recall, without difficulty, specific data vague amount of information in th e brain. Beatriz explained Menardo, some high school students questioned at firs t the importance of being able to remember certain numbers and meet the objectiv es of the exercises set. However, once these people move into their everyday env ironment, whether at work, academic or social discover that there are plenty of facts, dates, telephone numbers and activities in an agenda with clear and easy to remember, resulting in greater benefit to the occupation. However, this proce ss is triggered when the mind is accelerated to the point where the differences are significant in terms of performance. On the other hand, greater assurance is achieved because the person is not pending to remember what you studied or what to say, because the information is well structured and easy to retrieve.

Learning to read

Undoubtedly one of the main problems that people face is not read correctly. Tha t is why the workshop is achieved Study Method approach the texts through analys is and synthesis processes that give very valuable results learning and study. B roadly speaking, Menard explained the importance of establishing a correct appro ach to the text during the first reading, then move on to an analytical reading to detect the scheme on which moves the author to explain the issue, identify ma in ideas and secondary, and to draw diagrams to organize the text content and ra nk the ideas. Then comes another stage in which we offer a review with correctin g the diagram drawn on the text, then move on to the active and well without rec urrence of the text. Immediately, according to the diagram drawn with their own words reconstruct the text. In the next phase of the techniques learned in the w orkshop to enhance memory are used with the method of study and be able to memor ize the basic concepts for the automatic production of the diagram. However, the final phase of the study method is review (without missing an interval of eight hours) based on active replication technique. With all these tools can be studi ed for faster and more effectively because the person will "own" the information and not pending remember the text line by line. Hearing is the name of another workshop included in the course. Audience is listening a class, lecture or confe rence, that is, use that moment of personal contact with the exhibitors, as many times a gesture or an expression provided the key to what that the person meant .At the hearing stage is used the strategies learned in the phase of study metho ds, but to maximize the interaction with the exhibitor. Note that all these tech niques are supported with exercises that stimulate the merger, which was impleme nted from the moment that begins the course, since, although the concentration r epresents a separate chapter, it is impossible to separate from the other worksh ops, From the standpoint of Menardo, improve concentration is a simple enough ma tter, since the technique used for this purpose focuses on listening to

things that interest you the person living at the time, trying to make a kind of selective extraction of certain points of interest to focus attention on the mo ment. Concentration is a voluntary act that can be improved by sending and recei ving exercises. The reception is to be encouraged and be aware of the sensations they generate (such as the captivating scent of a perfume or music that pleases ), while that the issue involves extensive study or the creation of themes. Howe ver, people who are trained to improve concentration know that the reception is a relaxing activity, while the emission causes fatigue, allowing them to expedit e the sharpness and concentration depending on the time (either study or work) i n which they find themselves. Moreover, in certain conflict situations in which
