Essential oil of Eucalyptus
Essential oils are volatile and liquid aroma compounds from naturalsources, usually plants. Essential oils are not oils in a strict sense, butoften share with oils a poor solubility in water. Essential oils oftenhave an odor and are therefore used in food flavoring and perfumery.Essential oils are usually prepared by fragrance extraction techniquessuch as distillation (including steam distillation), cold pressing, orextraction (maceration). Essential oils are distinguished from aromaoils (essential oils and aroma compounds in an oily solvent), infusionsin a vegetable oil, absolutes, and concretes. Typically, essential oils arehighly complex mixtures of often hundreds of individual aromacompounds.Agar oil, distilled from Agarwood (

). Highlyprized for its fragrance.
