Chennai convention- a massive show of unity and strength

The JAC convention held at Chennai on 09-07-2010 turned out to be a massive show of unity and strength.
More than 1500 comrades from the nooks and corners of Tamil Nadu and Chennai circles participated in
this convention. The sprawling Raja Annamalai Mandram, where the convention was held, could hardly
accommodate the participants. This convention which was organized by both the Tamil Nadu as well as
the Chennai Circle Unions, was presided over by Com.K.Govindarajan (BSNLEU), Com. R.Pattabiraman
(NFTE), Com.S.Lingamurthy (FNTO), Com. M.Maran (TEPU), Com.A.Shanmugasundararajan (SNEA),
Com.N.Veerapandian (AIBSNLEA) and Com.A.Chellapandian (TEPU). Com.S.Cellappa, Circle Secretary,
BSNLEU, Tamil Nadu Circle welcomed all. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, BSNLEU, Com. G.L.Jogi, GS, SNEA,
Com.Prahalad Rai, GS, AIBSNLEA, Com. K. Vallinayagam, GS, FNTO, Com.V.Subburaman, GS, TEPU, and
other leaders of the JAC in Tamil Nadu and Chennai circle addressed the convention. In addition to these,
central trade union leaders, viz., Com.A.Soundararajan (CITU), Com.D.Pandian (AITUC), Com.S.Kuppusamy
(LPF) and Com. Elavari (INTUC) also addressed the convention and expressed their solidarity to the
struggle to protect BSNL. In short, the Chennai convention is a morale booster for the JAC in it’s struggle to
strengthen BSNL.
