To Whom It May Concern:Since 2001, Media Democracy Day (MDD) has provided citizens, activists, artists, media makers,scholars, and students an opportunity to engage in a dynamic, diverse, and urgent discussion of thestate of the Canadian media system. This year, Media Democracy Day will be presented by theSchool of Communication at Simon Fraser University, OpenMedia.ca and the Vancouver PublicLibrary on November 6 at the Vancouver Public Library, Central Library, from 12-5 PM.I am pleased to extend your organization an opportunity to participate in our
MediaDemocracy Fair
. The Fair is a trade show-style exhibition of local, alternative, non-commercial,and innovative media production that brings together a number of diverse communities and helpspromote the cause of media democratization to a much wider public. The Fair is set up on-site atMDD and runs for the duration of the event. There are a
limited number of tables available
at the Fair, and we are sending this message togauge how many organizations are interested in exhibiting at MDD.
