Jimmy:Lasallian Greetings of Peace!I wish to work as a volunteer nurse in La Salle OPD and Birthing Clinic. I havecome to ask our Dean, Sr. Marilyn Bacsain, DC, MAN, for a volunteer workand she referred me to Sr. Estilita Borjal, D.C., since she is current Directressof La Salle OPD and Birthing Clinic. I asked Sr. Estelita if I can do volunteerwork in the said clinic and what are the things that need to be done.I am a graduate from La Salle University College of Nursing last March 2010.I recently took the Nursing Licensure Examination last July 3-4, 2010. Ithought of doing volunteer work in my Alma Mater and practicing myprofession while currently awaiting for the result of the July 2010 NLE. Duringmy clinical placements at Mercy Community Hospital, Misamis OccidentalProvincial Hospital, MHARS-RTTH, LSU OPD and Birthing and UniversityClinics, and in the assigned communities , I have learned a wide range of nursing skills on the job, while also developing the ability to think on my ownand to problem-solve. As a community and clinical student nurse, Ideveloped ability to use my own initiative and work effectively as amember of a multi-disciplinary team. I am flexible and eager to learn newskills, in addtion to that, I have joined medical missions to enhance myclinical skills and expertise.
