The Impossible Dream

I have just “ran” through many “links” of Orffyreus and his Perpetual Motion Machines
and its mind-blowing what can be printed of the man and his machine, without knowing
the contents of the working mechanism. The glowing reports of the “young Orffyreus”,
and his many skills at his hands, and refuted to be a Medical Doctor, to end up in such a
pitiful state, grovelling, and begging just before he died, is difficult to comprehend.
Maybe the real truth of his situation may have been the religious turmoil, and strife of his
day. The reformation was at its height, in the 17/18th Century, causing great bitterness.
Northern Europe went for the new Protestant views, and Orffyreus a devoted Catholic
would be like a fish out of water in Germany, and may account for his miserable state, in
latter life, the new religions being pushed by the powerful princes of the day, made it
very difficult for those of the old faith. In England, and Ireland they would lose land, title,
and be banished to the road, I’m sure Germany (the birth of Protestantism) would have
been little different, and may have played a great part in the loss of Orffyreus’s invention,
and Perpetual Motion to the World, “an ancient mystery lost”.
Orffyreus is portrayed by many “in latter life” as stubborn, selfish, eccentric, and greedy,
note the change from the great honours lavished on him, by the Count, earlier and then
the sudden change to destitution, and starvation, Bessler was too skilled to not make a
living at 65 and at his death presumably making a living, (though possibly “labouring”
the skilled jobs being denied to him). His last letter was of desperation, no man would
write such a letter unless under the sentence of death, or extreme anxiety.
Why was Orffyreus so over protective of his secret? Well suppose if I invited you and
nine others into a room displaying a machine in the appearance of a wheel, 6ft in
diameter, and say 7/8ins thick, not in clothe and wood, but in modern light-cast-metal,
and put it in acceptable motion. Turned around and asked you for say 5m., would you be
anxious not see the internal works?, before you would part with your money, and what all
can’t seem to understand, Orffyreus couldn’t show the inside, because what he had was
“a new system” and one small peek could carry it to the World, like the invention of the
frying pan, impossible to protect by patent, so you see, Orffyreus was in a cul-de-sac.
You say Orffyreus machine worked on gravity, well!!! out of the centre of gravity is
more like it, (when a chopper sits on the tar-mac its blades pull down by gravity, but
when started up in flight, they rise, because they go out of the centre of gravity.
I’ve said before Perpetual Motion is in a circle, A turns B turns C turns D, and D turns
A., put in a gear-change for an “increase” in velocity to a possible maximum.
Sending weights in “fight” and out of the centre of gravity is the TAPEOJ Motion.
Look! If a machine, in the appearance of a wheel started manually (by hand) agitates
against its self, struggling to find a maximum, can never lose that memento, or find rest,
and must surely be the “impossible dream”. Yes I’m confident Johann Bessler had the
secret, I claim same. Unlike Bessler I seek no Worldly reward; I’m now 65yrs old,
All my life I’ve been poor in education, and Worldly possessions, my one desire would
be to see TAPEOJ be used for the poor, and needy of the “Third World”

Conclusions:
Obsessed and prejudiced fully with conservation of energy
principle, unfortunately, many authors attempt to dismiss the entire evidence, and
they consider Orffyreus’ wheel as nothing more than the fraud or trickery. They have
not been able to evaluate the valuable evidence impartially. This is an act of
injustice, ignorance, and an inexcusably glib response to a remarkable genuine
inventor! And, it must be deplored in strong terms. Orffyreus must be honored as
father of perpetual motion. Perpetual motion took its move when Orffyreus came to
the world with his genuine invention. He has inspired many individuals to reinvent
perpetual motion machine.

Let me conclude by saying that all evidence is powerful:

· Because of independent corroborating testimony which has come

to us from different persons in different times.
• Because the accounts were written immediately after the event or
in the presence of the turning wheel.
• Because perpetual motion machines were constructed in location
never before visited by the Orffyreus.
· Because conditions of the observations ranged from good to
excellent and didn't allow for fraud of the sort to produce the perpetual
motion.
· Because observers were many and all highly qualified man.
· Because investigators had no alliance with the inventor or a
blood relation
· Because in a span of 15 years Orffyreus was never detected in
fraud of any kind.
· Because his machines produced power of a magnitude that can't
be explained away by fraud.

To explain the entire array of the machines and its actions as due to conjuring or
fraud, we must endow Orffyreus with an implausible degree of conjuring skill or else
with access to technology known to no scientist of his day and present time. Even today,
to imitate the Orffyreus wheel and program it to run for a period of 40 days with enough
power and same functional ability, which it had displayed at the Castle of Weissenstein
would require a group of engineers and energy experts. Clearly, the entire repertoire of
the events presented by investigators is impressive and pose a challenge to the scientist.
