DIVINE PROPORTION (THE NUMBER PHI - )
The Golden Ratio, a Divine Proportion found in mathematics, art and biologicalsystems, is an instrument of measurement and growth efficiency. The Golden Ratiowas defined by Euclid around 300 B.C. as a geometrical proportion betweendivisions within a line. Often expressed by the Greek letter  (Phi), it has beencalled the Divine Proportion, Divine Ratio or the Golden Constant because of its prevalence in relationships throughout the universe. Over the centuries, thisgeometric constant has been explored in mathematics, art and biological systems.
