Corporate officials eventually realized that pro-life advocates are among the most dedicated, patient and persistent people on earth. ‘When writing to @ corporation that you would not normally patronize (due to distance or the type of product/service offered), simply ‘emphasize the support of Planned Parenthood and urge them to stop. De-emphasize the fact that you will not be doing business with the company. Concentrate on education and areasoned plea rather than the threat of an economic impact. ‘Why should one boycott a corporation if it plays such a small part in the overall effort? The most important reason is that you do not ‘want to cooperate with evil or help make it possible for others to do evil. If Company XYZ wants to fund Planned Parenthood it will nor be With the money God has placed in your care, A willingness to boycott products/services, even when you do not really have the opportunity to do so, makes an impression on corporate leaders. Itshows you are committed and truly care about the cause ‘Why doesn't LDI tell us how much money each corporation has donated to Planned Parenthood? LDI used to release such information (ve no longer even record it). LDI ceased doing so when individuals/groups began deciding for themselves how nnuch is “enough” to warrant ‘a boycoit, This greatly undermined our work, especially since each individual/group was setting a different standard. Even if a corporation ‘were to give just one penny to Planned Parenthood, itcould become a boycott target. After all, the corporate “endorsement” that accompanies such donations is vastly more valuable to Planned Parenthood than the money itself. Unfortunately, many of these lists include inaccurate information and, by so doing, have undermined our efforts, Similarly, some individuals are disseminating information from this List without our knowledge and/or consent. The information has been altered, Which has resulted in calls from unhappy lawyers because their corporate clients have been wrongly maligned, (Corporate officials do not appreciate being told they are helping to “Kill babies,” especially when it is not true. ‘Their anger in such cases is understandable.)
