Description

The complete scanned version of the original book. This is a classic translation of Tamil canon, Thirukkural by Thiruvalluvar, into English by Rev.G.U.Pope.

G.U.Pope, a revered Tamil scholar of European origin, is known for his finest translations of some of the old Tamil compositions. This book includes a fine introduction to Thiruvalluvar and his composition and the grammatical rules governing Kural. Lexicon and Concordance at the end of the book helps the reader to understand Kural word by word. The book also includes the vesions of Fr.C.J.Beschi, better known as Veeramaamunivar among Tamil masses, and that of F.W.Ellis, with useful notes by Rev.G.U.Pope.
