Jacana Jamboree
at the Cape Town Book Fair

Jacana Media takes the Book Fair to Town!

Jacana Media will be infusing the streets of Cape Town with Book Fair spirit this year.
With a series of exciting events, Jacana authors and others will be turning the literary
scene into an across-the-city spectacular.

From Societi Bistro to the Labia, The Book Lounge, Stark Ayres Nursery, Lobby Books
and the Michael Stevenson Gallery, to Iziko, the Mount Nelson and even a literary party
bus, Jacana’s scintillating events will be bringing the city to life with literature.

Look out for Cannibal Ogres, Mock Europeans, Faux Tintins and the Hovering
Showerhead, the EU Literary Award ceremony, Grande Dames of the Garden, South
African Writing Now, a cartooning master class and the Satire Supper as some of the
highlights of the 23 events on the programme.

The Jamboree is part of an ongoing partnership between Jacana Media, The Book Lounge
and the Cape Times and 10% of all book sales at all the events will go to Equal
Education. At all events, please bring high quality children’s and young adults’ books, in
good condition, to donate to Equal Education’s book drive for school libraries.
