ABSTRACT
This report was prepared to provide an introduction into understand-ing the characteristics, including economics, of photovoltaically poweredwater pumping systems.Although thousands of these systems existworldwide, many potential users do not know how to decide whether ornot photovoltaic pumping systems are an attractive option for them. Thisreport provides current information on design options, feasibility assess-ment, and system procurement so that the reader can make an informeddecision about water pumping systems, especially those powered withphotovoltaics.
