History of Java
The original name of Java was Oak, and it wasdeveloped as a part of the Green project at SunMicrosystems.Java was conceived by James Gosling, PatrickNaughton, Chris Warth, Ed Frank, and MikeSheridon at Sun Microsystems in 1991.Sun formally announced the Java SunWorld in1995.
