Etiology, prevalence and pattern of peri-irnplantitis

Dr. Nadeem Karimbux

Dr. Karimbux received his D.M.D. from Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) in 1991 and his M.M.Sc. and Certificate in Periodontology from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1993. Dr. Karimbux is intimately involved with dental education at a national and international level and is currently the Assistant Dean of Dental Education and the Director of Advanced Graduate Periodntology in the Office of Dental Education at HSDM. His innovative periodontal curriculum at HSDM has resulted in a high level of interest in the field of periodontology, resulting in twenty per cent of its graduating class entering postdoctoral periodontology programs. At the national level, Dr. Karimbux is a member of the Council of Faculties of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA); curriculum consultant and site visitor for the Commission on Dental Accreditation to the American Dental Association (ADA); a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Dental Education and a Test Consultant for the Dental Admissions Test for the American Dental Association. He was recently named the Associate Editor for ADEAs MedEdPortal curriculum "publishing" site. He has published and presented his work in dental education at national and international meetings. Dr. Karimbux is Board Certified in Periodontology, practices two and a half days a week, and presents on topics of regeneration and the oral-systemic link. He collaborates on several grants to study the link between diabetes and periodontal diseases.

Dr. Pietro Felice

Pietro Felice graduated in Dentistry and Prosthetic Dentistry at the University of Bologna in 1998 and in Medicine in 2002. In 2009 he was awarded his Ph.D in Maxillofacial and Dermatological Reconstructive Sciences at the Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery Unit of Bologna University. Since 2006 he has been a lecturer in the Master courses "Periodontics and Implantology" and "Oral Surgery and Implantology" at the Department of Odontostomatological Sciences, University of Bologna. Dr Felice has published articles in national and international journals and has served on the editorial board of the European Journal of Orallmplantology since 2008. He works in private practice limited to reconstructive preprosthetic surgery and implantology in Bologna.

Anterior immediate and aesthetic soft tissue management Dr. Thomas Han

Dr. Han is an Adjunct Professor of the UCLA Department of Periodontics. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, the American Board of Orallmplantology / Implant Dentistry, and the International Congress of Orallmplantology. He is a fellow of the American College of Dentists, and a member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He has lectured widely both in the United States and abroad on the topic of esthetics in implant dentistry.

He is the author of the book: "3D Block Technique", published by RC Libri. His practice is Visiting Center Zimmer Dental in Brescia.
