Comino
Comino, the smaller of the three main islands, also has somegreat places to dive. Only accessible by boat the island offersspectacular underwater tunnels, chimneys, caves, reefs, dropoff’s and marine life coupled with exceptionally good visibility.A day out on the boat is usually combined with a visit to theBlue Lagoon. With its crystal clear blue water enhanced by thesandy seabed non divers are usually welcome on board and haveplenty of opportunity to sunbathe and snorkel.Biking on Maltaisbecoming apopularactivity with the localsandvisitorsalike. The islandhasagreatdealto oeracyclistwith long country roads,narrowwalledstreetswith rough surfacesandsmooth long stretchesthatallowyouto getinto agoodrhythm.In the pastbiking hasbeen adaunting activity,due to the crazy pace of Maltesetrac.In the lasttwo yearsthe governmenthasbeen made aware of the growingattraction the islandhasforthe cyclistandmarkedcycle lanesare nowappearingaroundthe island. Theroutesareonlyamaximumheightof12meterswithsafedeepwaterbellow. Therestoftheislandhassomescatteredcavesthatoersomegoodlinesaswellasprotectedifyoueverygetcaughtoutinarareshower. Theislandsareasareallaccessiblefromtheshore,howeveryouhavetogettotheislandwithaferry,leavingfromtheharboursinMaltaandGozo.

CoralCave
 The Blue Hole isGozo’smostfamousdive site oering caves,drop-os,boulderslopesandachimney,making thisavery exciting dive.The shlife can vary depending on the numberof diversin the water.However,large Grouperscan be foundandschoolsof Bream are usually locatedjustthrough the Azure window.Descendinto the blue hole andexitthrough arch connectedto the opensea. Continue through the Azure Windowandthen descenddown theboulderslop. Keeping the reef wallto you leftdive aroundthe window.Atthe pointcontinue straightacrossthe boulderslope untilyou arrive atthe chimney.Ascendthrough the chimney. Upon exiting double back onyourself going overthe topof the chimney.Returning to the blue holewith the reef wallon yourright.Upon entering the Blue Hole explore thelarge cave before returning to the exitpoint.
TheBlueHole
CoralCave isan impressively large cave,which housesan array of fragile andcolorfulcorals,anemonesandhidden SeaHorses.To reach the cave enterthewateratCoralgarden andsurface swim to the dropo. Descendandfollowthe reef wallon yourleftuntilyou arrive atthe cave. Atthe back of the maincave isasmallercave.Entering thissmallcave isnotrecommendasthe siltisvery ne andvisibility can dropvery quickly.Afterexploringthecavereturnthewayyoucamebackintocoralgarden. Incoralgardenndthechimneyanddescendthroughthechimney.TurnrightuponexitingandfollowthereefwallbacktotheBlueHoleandtheexitpoint.

WiedBabuisavalleyofterracedfieldsthatflankstheroadleadingtotheBlueGrotto. To enterthe valley there isasmallmetalladderbellowthe promenaderailing opposite the widestclearing of the valley. Thisleadsto stepscutinto the cli,which linksto the path into the crag.WiedBabu oerssome of the bestclimbing in Malta.On the eastsideof the valley with itsprominentdiamondshapedboulder,you willndawide variety of excellentroutes,on slabsandvertically waving bulgeswith perfectpocketedwhite limestone.Maltaistheidealplaceforarockclimbingholiday.LocatedinthemiddleoftheblueMediterraneansea,just97 kilometerssouthofSicily,Maltahasplentyofrock andisundoubtedlyanundiscoveredclimbingparadise.RockclimbinginMaltaispossiblethewholeyear,butthemainseasonisthemildwintermonths.WhilstEuropeanclimbersareforcedindoorsbycoldandwetwinterstocontinuetheirbelovedsport.Malteseclimbersarestartingtoclimbingoutdoorsafterahotsummerof deepwatersoloing. Thereareover1,300rockclimbingroutesoverthethreeislandsofMalta,GozoandCominoknownastheMaltesearchipelago.Sooneisreallyspoiltforchoice.Thisguidefocusesonthemainsportsareas.Howeverthereisplentyofvirginrockstillwaitingtobeconquered. Theclimbsarecharacterizedbethelocallimestone,whichisfullofpocketsandinterestingfeaturescreatingpumpyandchallengingclimbs.Thecragsaregenerallyquitesoyoudonothavetowaittoclimbaparticularroutesooneusuallyhasachoiceofclimbs.

Upon arriving atthe seaclisturn rightandfollowthe coastroadwithspectacularseaviewsuntilyou turn away from the coastline upthe valley. Turnrstrightupasteepstone carvedroadcycling underneath alarge farmhouse. Thisroadwillleadyou pastGordan’slighthouse andinto Ghasri.Upon entering Ghasriturn leftanddescendthe narrowroad. Atthe T-juntionturn leftleaving the smallchapelon yourright,following thisroaduntilthe northcoast.Here turn leftandgo oroadonto the saltpans.Returning to the roadcyclethrough Qbajjarbay andbearright. Atthe crossroadsturn rightanddescendinginto apicturesque valley.Afterasteepascentyou willarrive atamain road. Turn rightanddescendthehilltowardsVictoria. Atthe roundaboutturn leftpassing underneath the Citadelreturning to Victoria.
