Know all men by these presents that I Calvin C Parks of Auburn in the County of Oakland in the Territory
of Michigan for and in Consideration of the sum of nine hundred and Eleven Dollars and [seventy?]
five cents to him in hand paid by Henry H Panton the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge do by
these Presents Give Grant Bargain Sell and convey unto the said Henry H. Panton [h]is heirs and assigns
the following described tracts and parcels of Land lying and being in the [village] of Auburn in the County
of Oakland in the Territory of Michigan being known by the Plat of [s]aid village as Lot number Forty five
being one half acre of Land with the Buildings thereon [si]tuate also the west half of North west
Quarter of Section thirty four in Township [t]wo north of Range Eleven East in the District of Detroit
in the Territory of Michigan containing Eighty Acres also one fourth of the East half of the North East
Quarter of Section thir[?] Township Four North of Range Ten East supposed to be twenty acres
being an undivided [q]uarter of said Lot subject however to the incumbrances mentioned in the Deed from
Charles C. [H]ascall to said Calvin C. Parks on record Together with all the privileges and appurtenances
[to] the said Lots and tracts of Land in anywise appertaining and belonging To have and to hold [th]e
above Granted premises to the said Henry H. Panton his heirs and assigns forever to their [us]e and
behoof and I the said Calvin C. Parks for myself my heirs Executors and Administrators do covenant with
the said Henry H. Panton his heirs and assigns that I am lawfully [se]ized in fee save above mentioned
Incumbrances of the aforesaid premises that they are [f]ree and clear from all incumbrances save above
and a Mortgage to Salmon J. Mathews for [his?] indemnity against claims due by Parks and Mathews that
I have good right to sell [an]d convey the same to the said Henry H. Panton and that I will and my heirs
Executors [an]d Administrators shall warrant and defend defend [sic] the same to the said Henry H.
Panton [hi]s heirs and assigns forever against the claims of all other Persons than these above
[m]entioned. Provided Always and these Presents are upon this Express condition that if the said Calvin
C. Parks shall well and truly pay unto the said Henry H Panton the full [and?] Just sum of three hundred
and three Dollars and ninety one cents on the seventeenth day of May with lawful Interest and the sum of
six hundred and seven Dollars and Eighty four cents on the seventeenth day of November one thousand
Eight hundred and thirty four [w]ith lawful interest according to the tenor and [word smudged, perhaps
erased] Effect of two promissory Notes [be]aring even date here with Executed by the said Calvin C.
Parks to the said Henry H. Panton [and?] [for?] collatteral [sic] security then these Presents shall cease
and be null & void and the said [n]otes. But in case of non payment of said notes or Either of them on the
days above [w]ritten and limited for the payment thereof then and in such case it shall and may be lawful
for the said Henry H. Panton his heirs Executors Administrators or assigns to [gr]ant bargain sell release
and convey the Premises and the said Calvin C. Parks hold hereby emp[o]wer and authorize the said
Henry H. Panton his heirs or assigns to Grant bargain Sell and [con]vey the Premises with the
appurtenances at Public Auction or vendue and on such sale [?] make and Execute to the purchaser or
purchasers his or their heirs and assigns good ample and sufficient Deed or Deeds of conveyance in the
Law rendering the surplus monies [i]f any there be unto the said Calvin C. Parks his heirs Executors &
administrators after deducting the costs and charges of such vendue and sale [aforesaid?]

In witness whereof I have hereunto this 17th day of May 1833 [set] my hand and seal

county of Oakland Calvin C. Parks the maker of the above Deed who acknowledged he had freely
Executed the same for the purposes therein set forth
