I have read the book & now this transcript really makes you think about life and the daily blessing we enjoy without even thinking how important they are in our life .Hope to share some of Randy's experience with my fellow workers as a manager to make their life better and appreciate what we are given in our life's. To my family to learn to appreciate their presence even more each day from now on .

One of the most profound and inspirational 'write-ups' that it has been my privilege to read.
I really feel forlorn that I was not in the proud position of being a member of the participatory audience/listening in.
Actually, just being a graduate of Carnegie Mellon is a unique honour which, ofcourse, I could never even have thougt of - unlike Mr. Seabolt.
Thank you for sharing this great Lecture.

Pausch family, Randy's battle was already won at the cross. Jesus Christ loves you and died for you. God bless you and your family during these times of growth, maturity, and strengthening. Because there is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Your friend, Jonathan.

Dr. Pausch,

Thank you for showing inspiration and your feelings to all the workld and what you have gone thru in your struggle with pancreatic cancer. You are very brave and I know how very difficult it must be for you to enter the next phase of your life with God. I lost a little brother at the age of three when I was almost sweet sixteen and I know if God wanted to take one of your children, you would probably want it to be you rather than them. You are such a brave and proud individual and I admire you very much. I also have a liver condition but I know that there is a God and that he takes us for reasons unknown to us when it is HIS will and not ours so your book has helped me to be brave whenever God calls on me and to live my life the fullest until the end. I just want to say I love you and don't even know you but feel that I know you ever since I have or still am reading your book and saw you on Oprah.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you and your family

When I was a child I was sexually and physically abused by family members. That led to my teenage years of promiscuity and drugs. I'm older now and I realize just how much of my life I wasted, all because of not wanting to remember the past. I now suffer from fibromyalsia, buldging discs, and degenerative arthritis. I have been going through it for so long that I have become depressed with no purpose in my life left. Everyday I wake up and dread the fact that it's another day.. I hate myself for feeling like that when every day is a gift from God, I just can't seem to shake it. But tonight I watched your interview with Diane Sawyer. I haven't cried like that in years. How in the world can I keep feeling like this when I see a man like you that has brought so very much to the lives of not only his family but of strangers. People you will never meet. Your legacy is so encouraging. I know you are going through alot right now. It's important that you know that you ran your race!!! You did ALL that you were put here to do. And you will be affecting peoples lives for years and years to come.. God Bless You Randy!! Please know that my familyis praying for your family..

When I was three years old, my aunt and godmother left for the convent. She bacame a nun. She taught me a song, I remember that one day together we watched a bird perched on the clothesline on our porch and saying to her "look aunt Mary-Jeanne the birdie is going by-bye with his tail"! I remember the day she left, who she went with and her entire clothing, that beautiful black picture hat she wore and she left by way the front hallway which was only used on rare occasions by visitors. The memories you are creating to leave behind will only add to the fond and wonderful memories you leave of yourself for your children. God Bless you Randy. Fran MacDonald, Realtor, Manchester,NH

amazing lecture; i didn't even know you came out on Oprah. I just found via youtube. "Thank God." Speaking of Oprah, my desire is to achieve financial freedom beyond the norm... is that wrong? I want to make my parents proud, my family secure, and yes indeed satisfy some egotistical ends as well. Hmmm. The means not the end?

Randy, I saw you on Oprah and read your speech. I have a one year old grand daughter born blind and with all the virtual reality and other computer things you and your people are working on, I just know that one day she will be able to see from all the gadgets that you are designing. thank you.
