First of all, I dispute the claim that Americans want the same porky government, i.e., better would necessarily mean smaller.

Of course, one has to wonder whom the "researchers" polled--government employees? Democrats? I shouldn't trust any study that finds in favor of large government, especially, a government of itself, by itself, and for itself, i.e., the current form.

Has anyone ever heard of a company or corporation that, after getting rid of the waste, stayed the same size? Streamlining one's operation always requires a reduction in size. I would say this "study" got the answer it wanted without regard to quantitative validity and reliability.
