Hong Kong Scout Centenary Jamboree

Dear Colleagues,

Greetings from Manila!

We are very pleased to inform you that the Scout Association of Hong Kong is organizing the Hong
Kong Scout Centenary Jamboree to celebrate 100 years of Scouting in Hong Kong.

Below are the basic information:

Date: 27 December 2010 – 1 January 2011

Participants are expected to arrive on 26 December 2010 and may depart
on 1 January 2011

Venue: Penny’s Bay next to Hong Kong Disneyland.

The site is located in north-eastern Lantau Island, the largest island in

Hong Kong. It is only 30 minutes away from the Hong Kong International
Airport and 40 minutes away from the city centre.

Fee: USD150.00 per person. The cost will cover food, tentage, programme
activities, camp souvenir, 1 night pre-Jamboree accommodation, inland
transportation between the HK International Airport and Jamboree Site.

Eligibility: The Jamboree is organized for young people both male and female aged
12 to 25 years old. Each Patrol should consists of 9 Scout members and 1
Adult Leader. Each NSO may form more than 1 patrol.

Equipment: Participants should bring their personal camping equipment including

sleeping bag, eating utensils, flashlight, swimsuit, rain gear. Tents and
cooking utensils will be provided.

Weather: Average temperature in December is around 10 - 20 degree's Celsius.

Application: Group Registration and Individual Registration must be endorsed and sent
through the National Scout Organization not later than 30 September
2010.
