Floyd E. Bloom, M.D.
Floyd Bloom is Professor Emeritus at Scripps Research Department of Neuropharmacologyand was editor-in-chief of Science Magazine for 5 years.
 
He is a member of the NationalAcademy of Sciences, the Institute of Medicine as well as the American Academy of Artsand Sciences. He has received numerous awards, including the Pasarow Award inNeuropsychiatry, and the Sarnat Award for Mental Health Research.
Howard L. Fields, M.D., Ph.D.
Howard Fields is Professor, Neurology and Physiology at the Ernest Gallo Clinic andResearch Center, University of California, San Francisco and is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He isalso Director of the Wheeler Center for the Neurobiology of Addiction. He studiesmotivational systems and uses an experimental approach in animals to analyze the circuitsin the brain that mediate pain and reward.
Michael S. Gazzaniga, Ph.D.
Michael Gazzaniga is a Professor of Psychology at University of California, Santa Barbara,Director of the SAGE Center for the Study of the Mind, and Director of The Law andNeuroscience Project. He is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the NationalAcademies and of American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Among other books, herecently served as editor-in chief of The Cognitive Neurosciences IV, from MIT Press, whichfeatures the work of nearly 200 scientists and is a sourcebook for the field.
