THE LYRICIST

I'm suppose to write a love song, but nothing seems to rhyme

About a love, between a man and woman, that just never found the time
To find time for each other and make sure things don't get in the way
But there is always family problems, in our path they always lay

My job is to be positive about things I write

But lately there's always something that causes us to fight
If we love each other we will make the time
And there should be no problem, no reason or rime

So if we want this to work, then it will

And if there's a problem, then I have to stop and take the pill
The pill against complaisant y, to stay on the straight and narrow
To raise the bar, from just average, to a Pharaoh

When a lyricist writes a love song, it's more than just a tune
Each word a stran in a magic carpet, that soars above the dunes
For this man, this king, will take he and his love, on a ride without hassle
And the king will present to his queen the door step to her new castle
