ِا َِـْا ِّا ِِْ
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the MostMerciful.
َِِْا ِـَِْا ُـَیاء َِْ ا
10:1 Alif-Lam-Ra.These are the verses of the Book (the Qur'an) Al-Hakim.
ِ َنَآَأِرَِأ ْنَأ ُْْﻡ ٍَُر َِإ ََْْوَأ ْنَأ ًََ ِس
َِْر َِ ٍقِْ َمََ َُْ نَأ ْاَُﻡاء َیِا ََِو َسا
10:2 Is it a wonder for mankind that We have sentOur revelation to a man from among themselves(saying): "Warn mankind, and give good news tothose who believe that they shall have with theirLord the rewards of their good deeds.''

ٌِﻡ ٌِـََ اَـَه نِإ َنوُِـَْا َلَ
(But) the disbelievers say: "This is indeed anevident sorcerer!''

The isolated letters in the beginning of this Surah, aswell as in others, have been previously discussed at thebeginning of Surah
Al-Baqarah
.Allah said:
...َِِْا ِبَِْا ُتَی َِْ

These are the verses of the Book (the Qur'an) Al-Hakim.This indicates that these are verses of the Qur'an,in which the wisdom of judgment is clear.
The Messenger cannot be but a Human Being
Allah rebukes the attitude of the disbelievers with the words;
ِسِ َنَآَأًََ...
Is it a wonder for mankind...They have always found it strange that Allahwould send Messengers to them from amongmankind.Allah also tells us about other people fromprevious nations who said,
ََوَُْی ٌَََأ
Shall mere men guide us? (64:6)

and Salih said to their people:
ُْْﻡ ٍَُر ََ ُْر ﻡ ٌْآِذ ُْآَءَ نَأ َُِْْ َوَأ
Do you wonder that there has come to youa reminder from your Lord through a manfrom among you! (7:63)Allah also told us what the disbelievers fromQuraysh said:
ٌبَُ ٌءََْ اَـَه نِإ ًاَِو ًـَِإ ََِا ََََأ
Has he made the gods into one God Verily,this is a curious thing! (38:5)Ad-Dahhak reported Ibn Abbas that he said:"When Allah sent Muhammad as a Messenger,most of the Arabs denied him and his messageand said: Allah is greater than sending a humanMessenger like Muhammad.''Ibn Abbas said, "So Allah revealed:
ًََ ِسِ َنَآَأ...
Is it a wonder for mankind...''
...َِإ ََْْوَأ ْنَأْاَُﻡ َیِا ََِو َسا ِرَِأ ْنَأ ُْْﻡ ٍَُر ...
that We have sent Our revelation to a man from amongthemselves (saying): "Warn mankind, and give goodnews to those who believe,

that they shall have with their Lord the rewards of theirgood deeds,Scholars have differed over the meaning of the rewardfor the good deeds in this
