INT. MOROCCAN RESTAURANT. NIGHT.UNKNOWN POV - MOVING -It is late and a luxurious Moroccan restaurant in Gotham isclosed. Chairs on tables, lights are off. In the dark a doortentatively opens and a dark silhouette silently enters.CATWOMAN, dressed in a black catsuit, goggles and utilitybelt carefully closes the door. She investigates the space, which is ornate and empty. The POV follows at a safedistance.In a hidden safe Catwoman discovers her prize: an Egyptianstatue of the cat goddess Bastet.A gloved hand raises a dart gun and fires a shot. In thedistance Catwoman clasps her neck and tumbles to the floor.CUT TO:CATWOMAN’S POV - MOVING -A warped recreation of the previous events flash throughCatwoman’s night-vision POV. Statue in hand, Catwoman fallsto the floor. Before everything goes dark a pair of blackstiletto boots step into view.INT. MOROCCAN RESTAURANT. STAGE. LATER.Catwoman awakes suddenly with a gasp. Her eyes are sensitiveto a spotlight glaring on her. She finds herself bound to achair with rope.As her eyes adjust she spots a table across the restaurant.On it is the Bastet Statue guarding her goggles, whip,utility belt and mask.She is alone and begins to work at the bindings.TALIA AL GHUL (O.S.)One more move and I’ll be happy toput you down.Catwoman freezes and seems on edge. Her eyes search thedarkness. Squinting into the light she spots a dark figurebarely visible on the balcony opposite.
TALIA AL GHUL (CONT'D)I’m terribly sorry to have to tieyou up, but since our lastrendezvous I’ve learned it’s betterto be safe than sorry.(beat)Anyway, you don’t mind it at all.Do you Selina?Catwoman stares defiantly at the dark figure.TALIA AL GHUL (CONT'D)I recall you being a bit morefeisty. Cat got your tongue?CATWOMANYou’re not welcome in Gotham. He made that perfectly clear.TALIA AL GHULI seem to remember him not wanting me to leave, and it was you who wanted me out.CATWOMANWhat do you want? Other than what’s mine?The dark figure moves from her perch and makes her way downthe stairs.TALIA AL GHULCatching a burglar is consideredjustice in Gotham, is it not?CATWOMANAssassin turned vigilante? I doubtanyone would buy that. You’ll neverbe anything more than a blade inthe shadows.TALIA AL GHUL(calmly)You may retract your claws, orshall I do it for you?Talia begins to unsheathe her sword.
